Birthday's in Disneyland for Adults

I am travelling to Disneyland with my mother for my 33rd birthday. Can anyone recommend somethings we can do and great places to eat to celebrate? Everything birthday is geared to the kids.... need help for some adult birthday ideas.

Get your free birthday badge at City Hall or guest services or maybe even some of the stores.

Get your free birthday admission or fun card if you already have park hoppers.

Steakhouse 55 is an excellent "grown up" meal and you can get a free dessert for your birthday. We got one for our anniversary and the people near us got one for a birthday.

Cafe Orleans in DL gives you one free beignet for your birthday after the meal. It has a candle in it.

We were there on DH's birthday and we decided to keep track of how many times people told him Happy Birthday. 44 was total count for the day.. We had fun guessing how many it would be but we guessed too low. Even several parade dancers with the Pixar parade said happy birthday to him.

We did Blue Bayou for DBF's 33rd in Jan, we did Wine Country Trattatoria for my 38th in May. We've gone twice this year without kids and we ate at Storyteller's both times, there's also the Napa Rose, which I would LOVE to try but haven't yet due to $$$.

Thanks for the great ideas for some adult places to eat. I'm sure we will have a great time no matter where we end up.

This will be my 1st time at Disney and it will be Halloween while I am there. Looking forward to the magic!

I loved eating at Blue Bayou for my boyfriends birthday, and for dessert he was given chocolate mouse with a candle in it!

We Will be there for 7 days total, only 5 at Disneyland then 2 days of other site seeing.

Well, let's see, for my birthday....

DH and I wandered through the shops on Main Street upon arrival. We enjoyed some magic in the Magic Shoppe on Main Street (which I love!) and then looked at art in the Disneyana store. We sat at the hub, enjoyed the view of the castle and Main Street. From there we went to Fantasyland to ride it's a small world and Storybookland boats. We worked our way over to New Orleans Square. We went to a Billy Hill and the Hillbillies show at the Golden Horseshoe. Then we got lunch at Rancho del Zacolo (to go) and sat along the riverfront (one of my favorite things to do at DL).

And on and on for the entire day. Some rides, some shows, some wandering. The night endedd with an 11:00pm viewing of Fantasmic!

There is SOOOOO much to enjoy as adults at Disneyland. Pick what you like and enjoy it. It's your birthday! Have fun!

What is the "Fun Card" ?

The Fun Card is spending money instead of your free bday admission. If you have alternate admission for your bday you take that along with your proof of birth to the ticket booth, city hall, or guest services and you will get a fun card valued at a 1 day 1 park admission ticket.

Ooh how fun!! I was celebrating my 33rd b-day and though it wasn't on my actual b-day it didn't matter. My BFF had a gift basket sent to my room, we had breakfast at Ariel's and she told them so I got my b-day button there and a crown. All of the princess and CM's wished me a happy b-day, I got a nice picture with each of the princesses and a brownie with a candle as they sang to me. It was so fun. Guest as well as CM's wished me happy birthday, like the PP said at Cafe' Orleans they give you a beignet with a candle in the middle and for dinner at Storytellers I got a Mickey shaped cake with a candle. The food was very good. We hit BBB and I got a special birthday sash with my Pop Princess do, it was a really fun day.

Now I'm sad. We went there for dinner. DH had on his birthday button. They gave him nothing even though I gave the waiter a huge tip and it cost a fortune Do you have to ask for the cake specifically? I thought the button served that function.

After we returned the Unofficial Guide had arrived at the library and I have much more of an idea of what restaurants are available. Don't know if this is particularly birthday-ish, but if we had been there on a Sunday I would want to try the Ralph Brennan's zydeco brunch at Downtown Disney. I think I might like to try Hook's Pointe in the DL Hotel too. If we had not been trying to do two parks in one day. I would have loved to try Blue Bayou or Cafe Orleans.
Anyone tried the Big Thunder Ranch, if you're looking for dinner and a show? I think that would have been good for the brief moment they reopened it before they raised the priced and started charging extra for the desert and drinks.

Oh that's not fair. No we didn't have to say anything it was a nice surprise actually. I know at Ariel's my BFF said something when they made the PS but at the other two places they figured it out all on their own from the button. On a side note...I loved the rainbow Mickey Candy confetti pieces I had at Storytellers and Cafe' Orleans on the desserts.
