Hi

We actually have two birthdays to celebrate this trip -- one at Le Cellier and one at California Grill. Does anyone know how I can arrange for birthday celebrations (cake, candles, etc.)? Do we call WDW dining, or can we call the restaurants individually? Is there a number I should call?

Thanks for your help!

You actually have a few options. When you make your ADRs or when you check-in for your reservation, you can tell them that you are celebrating a birthday. Generally they will sprinkle pixie dust all over the table, and the birthday person gets a free dessert (not of your choice).

The other option - and my personal favorite - is to special order a cake. The thread below has all the detail!

And just so you know, even if you tell them it's a special occasion, that won't gurantee anything special is done. In 2005 we ate at CG for the first time on my DM's actual birthday. I mentioned it when I made ADR. I mentioned it when we checked in. Other than giving her a dessert which said Happy Birthday on it (we were on DDP so the dessert was inc. anyway) they did nothing else. It may have just been our server (he just phoned it in) because I saw other tables, with other servers, getting mickey confetti, etc. This was very disappointing to me-so much so that the next year I mentioned it to the concierege at our resort just before we headed off to CG again (another birthday celebartion-this time my DD's) and when we arrived we were given a window seat and we had confetti on our table. So, my point is don't assume they'll do something special-if you want it-ask, or order a special dessert.

We haven't had a brithday at LC, so I don't know what they do. I know at Narcoossee's you get a special menu that says "Happy Birthday" on it. :goodvibes

Narcoossees will also personalize your menu. After our morning/afternoon wedding/reception, DH and I had dinner at Narcoossees alone - before heading off to MK to catch up with everyone. Our menu said "Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Smith" at the top. We always go back there for our aniverssary and it says "Happy Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Smith". We love the personalization! :lovestruc
