Birthday Trip!

For the first time ever, or in forever (if you like that sorta stuff), I'll be going to DL for my birthday. Well, OK. Technically, I'm leaving home the day after my birthday this weekend to catch a friend's wedding at Huntington Beach and I'll spend a few days at DL while I'm down in SoCal. Starting to think this once-in-a-lifetime AP may happen again....but back to the topic.

I'll be hitting the parks the weekend the SoCal passes are blocked for the first time. Will this help at all with crowds, or do the summer crowds show up in time to replace them? Also, does it cool off in the evenings during the summer like it does in NorCal? With a high of about 85, that's sorta warm for jeans, but if the nights cool off fast I'll be wanting something other than shorts.

Happy (almost) Birthday, GatorChris! It does cool off here in LA in the evenings. This week has been beautiful weather. Most mornings began a little June overcast and then clears up. I think Monday was the warmest day this week so far. I used to have pants that zippered off to turn into shorts. Those were quite handy but have not seen such a thing in years. I wish you a wonderful trip!

Those ap's are blocked with the assumption that summer crowds will start coming. In my experience, this week will still be pretty safe and better than most summer days in July. Weather should be beautiful, yes, nights will get cool. Have fun and enjoy your birthday week!
