Hi, It is my sisters 18th birthday while we are at wdw. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of doing something special for her birthday?

Well, there are the birthday buttons at the WDW parks. You can get her one for the park she'll be in that day. They have them at guest relations.

Do you think she'd like a special tour? Segway is a nice one, and fun for active people.

How about a cake from the local Publix? There are really nice ones available there, and they don't cost much at all. The closest Publix to WDW is the one near Premium Outlets (from DTD) or on 192 West (from the AKL area).

If it's not convenient to travel offsite, you can get a Mickey cake at the boardwalk bakery.

There is a silly birthday hat you can get her and have her wear!

Are those the sort of things you had in mind?

Hi, I have decided on a meal at the GF, (Criticos), and order a birthday cake.
also apparently you can order a personalised menu which sound nice.

I don't think she would wear a hat. :)

Have you considered Discovery Cove which is a lovely day? Also I know they have birthday packages which involve extra interaction with the dolphins, souvenir buoy, cake etc. I've not done the birthday package but I know others have and highly recommend it.

I have considered DC however my self and dd will not be able to do the swim (dd will be 5).

I did read that a company can provide a "treasure hunt" experience if you can tell them your sister's favourite characters etc. I think the company is called Gifts of a Lifetime there's some info on http://allears.net just look in the planning section of the site for ideas. There will be more folks able to give you some more suggestions soon. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Another thought, would she enjoy getting her hair done at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at DTD? It's not just for kids they do adults too. May be your DD could get hers done too. Might be fun.

Also, with the birthday buttons I think each park has a different one so perhaps you could try collecting them all.
