Birthday Pin?

I have read in a few places about a Birthday Pin that can be had for guests celebrating their birthday?

We are going in 15 days to celebrate DH's 40th. I'd LOVE to get him a Birthday Pin.

How do I do this???

I am going in 28 days, and celebrating my daughters 5th birthday there. I was told that the disney resort front desks have the pins for free and you can also get them at the parks, I'm sure you could ask any cast member. Have a great time!
PS. I was also told to have my daughter wear hers all week.

They have birthday pins at all of the resorts and guest services in the parks. Definately wear it during your trip. It's fun to hear "Happy Birthday" and sometimes there are dessert perks as well.

Now -- is it fair of him to wear the pin even if his ACTUAL birthday isn't while we're there?

He turned 40 a couple of weeks ago, but we are celebrating in WDW after school's out for summer.

I'm kinda wondering about this too. My birthday is the weekend after my trip but it's a birthday celebration trip.

Yes, it is fair to wear the button throughout your celebration. Not everyone can celebrate their actual date in WDW. We've been fortunate to celebrate a few actual birthdays in the world and a few delayed (due to school schedules) a week later in WDW. GS will ask you at your resort what you'll be celebrating when you check in. If you're not staying on property just go to GS at any park. They'll have birthday, graduation, anniversary, 1st visit & DVC owner since buttons.
Our next trip will be to celebrate DSs high school graduation which is next week but we'll be there to celebrate in August.

Thank you - i was wondering the same thing about where to get the pins and if he could wear it when it's not exactly his birthday - my DS will turn 5 about 4 days before we get there and we have been telling him for a year that it is his birthday present and he tells everyone - when i turn 5 i'm going to disney! It makes me well up with tears hearing him say that, cause he is sooo excited.

We are also doing the birthday surprise for him in our cabin at FW for when we arrive - not the whole crazy package but some balloons, a mickey, an autograph book and ears.

We only have one child and can't have any more so i want to make this extra special!

Aw how sweet! It sounds like you have an amazing birthday planned for him! It'll add so much magic having birthday surprises for him in the cabin.

For special occasion trips I like to bring my own room decorations. Balloons, paper goods, banners & streamers and a door collages don't take up much room in the suitcase and it adds to the celebration. I don't use any pins or tape. That would leave marks. Magnets and lightly tying streamers work well. Even mousekeeping gets into the celebration
Make sure you announce to everyone it's his birthday. Among the many birthday wishes Pizzafari will surprise him with a cupcake and song.
