Just wondering what our chances are of getting a birthday pin for our trip.
If you've registered a birthday with Disney would you mind filling in the poll?
Also, would you mind posting about how far before the birthday you received the pin? I registered my DH's October birthday a while ago and am just curious about how generous Disney is being with birthday codes, if many people are getting them or if they are just random like normal pins. Thanks!

My DH's bd is next month (August) and no pin discount for him.

My first registered b-day didn't get a pin (back in March, of course this is before they were sending them out). I've registered a Sept & Oct b-day, and no PIN yet.

My DD's birthday is in October and we recieved our pin June 25th its 40% off

Hmmm, pretty inconclusive so far ... 2 have pins, 2 didn't get them and a bunch of us waiting. Not sure that really helps us with figuring out the odds. :confused3 I guess we'll just have to keep hoping for that birthday magic! :wizard:

I received on about 10 days ago, and my birthday is 7/7. I had just booked CR for 8/8 for DS birthday that morning, got home and saw the BDay PIN for me...called and explained, they honored the 40% for our 8/8 dates...so even tho we have not "received" a PIN for DS yet, I figure he must be getting one as well, for them to honor the dates.

My birthday was early June and all I got was a reminder that I get free admission. My youngest's birthday is the end of July and we haven't gotten anything yet. My husband's birthday is mid September and nothing there yet either.

it came about a week before the birthday date and it was only for the week of the actual birthday for a resort discount. I found this totally unuseable especially coming from the midwest area.

Others at the time where receiving two months notice and the entire birthday month to book with the resort discount. I felt like I was being teased with the Disney offer they gave me by comparison.

I have registered another birthday in the family, my husband to see what happens in his case. That's in December; so, it will take a while to see what happens there.

We registered my DD9's birthday back at the beginning of the year (her birthday is in August).
We received a 40% off birthday pin June 19th and have booked a 7 day trip for August (over her birthday) utilizing the code. This turned out to be a better deal than free dining for us :)

Thanks everyone for your input. So far it seems a little less 50/50 for those who have upcoming birthdays? (although I know some of you with pins have received them already for fall birthdays). It seems as though birthday pins are kind of random, like the regular ones. That's not so magical! :guilty: (at least not for those of you who didn't get them - congratulations to those who did! :wizard:)

My parent's both had birthdays last month and are registered...nothing.

DH's birthday is this month...nothing.

Again, the PIN game. Who knows why anyone gets something and vice versa.

It didn't occur to me until just now, but DH and DS's b-days were in May, and we did not get PINS for either. My b-day is in December, and during our trip, so that's they one I'm crossing my fingers and toes for.

Just got a pin code today for my December birthday.:cool1:
This seems to be my lucky year, as I also got a 40% code for our upcoming August trip.

DH's birthday is in Sept, we're actually already booked for the FD bounce back during his birthday so I don't know if having an existing reservation matters or not but we've yet to get a code.

What I'm really hoping for is a pin code for my birthday in January!:cool2:

Yes I got a pin code my birthday trip. got the code the middle of June for a Nov. birthday trip. Now I had already booked the trip, don't know if that made a difference. So had to redo it and apply the code. As I've said before, SO glad I'm on Disney's "Good Mouseketeer" list this year!!!

I got a birthday PIN this month-don't remember when I registered it-but it's useless as my birthday is in January and it's only good in '09. So yay to that.

I registered my birthday and DH's birthday when it first came out, even though we have always gone over the week of his birthday for the F&W. We have every email address (both of our personal, work, and cell emails) registered one way or another with Disney. We went ahead and booked our October trip in January, but about 2 weeks ago we received the 40% birthday PIN for his birthday. It was good for the whole month of October. Our dates run through 11/2 but we did get the discount for every night of the trip.

I got a pin today! I had registered because we were debating going in August since I have to cancel our december trip. But alas, I cannot use it. It is too hot in Florida for my B-day! So sad :(

I wonder if they will continue this promotion next year.

I have a dumb question, where do you register your birthday at? TIA

Go to Disney's website. Click on the graphic of the envelope with balloons flying out that says "what will you celebrate?". If you follow the links eventually you will come to a page where you can register birthdays.
