Birthday pin/Birthday at 'Ohanas

Hello!

My daughter will be turning 14 at WDW and I had heard something about Birthday pins. Where can I get one of these and what kind of things do the CM's when they see people wearing one of these pins?

Also, I am thinking of going to the character breakfast at 'Ohanas that day...........has anyone celebrated a birthday there before?

You can get the birthday buttons at guest relations at any of the parks. They will wish you a Happy Birthday, may get a magical moment on a ride, get a birthday phone call from Goofy. Other things may happen but don't count on it and it will be great.

We have celebrated DD's 5th b-day there (O'HANA)in 2001 and DS 5th b-day at Chef Mickey's in 2003. We will be celebrating youngest DD's 5th b-day (and my 34th b-day) there this November.
O'Hana's is a good choice for birthdays as we have celebrated DD's there. They will bring you a HUGE "cup"cake with a mountain of whipped cream, sprinkles and a lighted SPARKLER on top. The restaurant sings "happy birthday" and then they give you a special Hawaiian b-day greeting. That, along with the coconut races and hulahoop contests, it will be a fun event.
Make sure to ask for a "MAIN DINING ROOM TABLE" otherwise, there is a seating area off to the side and it is hard to see all of the activities going on.
The birthday buttons will get you salutations from all who see it, free desserts at restaurants, and sometimes a choice seat for a show or ride.

It was my mother and daughter's birthdays when we were at WDW last November. They both got calls from Goofy at BWV and cards signed by characters. At the parks, they got birthday wishes and Prime Time gave my daughter a big cupcake.It was a lot of fun!
