My DS is turning 9 next month and we are throwing him a Survivor birthday party. It is going to be a big deal for him so we are working hard on it. The theme or "location" for the Survivor is an island type luau place. So I ordered wristbands that say "Time to Tiki" as well as tiki necklaces for the winning team. Now I am thinking about what a tiki is. Am I being unreligious by giving these things to the kids? Will the parents think so? Am I just being nuts? I definitely have a tendency to overthink things. I thought the tiki decorations were cute and I keep singing the Disney Tiki Room song in my head. We go to a small private Christian school and I would not want to offend anyone. I am just trying to throw a party but do not want to go against my religion. Am I crazy?
