Birthday on Disney Cruise

Hi, have a quick question. My family is going on a Disney cruise in January and we happen to leave port on my dd's 6th birthday. Is there anything special they have on board or that I can book to surprise her? She loves any and all surprises and I would love to do something special for her. Thanks for any info!

We celebrated DD's b-day on a DCL in March. We booked the birthday cabin decorations so that when we arrived, the cabin was decorated with a cake. If you do this, I suggest you print out from the DCL web site everything the b-day celebration is to include. We noticed we were missing the door magnet so they brought another one. After the fact, we also realized we were missig the banner but didn't remember it to ask.

Also, make sure the b-day is on your reservation. They should ask which night you would like to celebrate at dinner.

Thanks for the info. I will go on line to check it out. I have told the travel agent that it is her birthday and she said she didn't know of anything they had (which I found strange since she is supposed to be a Disney Specialist). My in-laws are taking us on the cruise so she is their travel agent and I have only talked to her once. MY dd will LOVE the room decorated for her. I'm excited also - you would think it was my birthday.

Another fun idea is to have a gift basket in your room upon arrival. I believe DCL has some options, but a far better deal seems to be the gift basket by Shirley (A Perfect Gift) I've ordered 3 for our upcoming Oct 09 cruise!
