Hey everyone!

Has anyone gone to Disney on or around December 28th in the past couple of years? My birthday falls on the WORST time of the year, i realize this... but let me have it, tell me how bad the crowds are! :rotfl: because i want to know if it is worth it to make the trip for the day to go (Disney is only 2 hrs away from me, as i live in Jacksonville) but i don't want to waste my day there if its going to be TOO crazy and we won't be able to do anything!

Also, does anyone know if you can change the day that you want to go? like if i wanted to go early in december instead? i seriously doubt it, but i just thought I'd give it a shot! :rolleyes1

thanks to anyone who replies back!!! :yay: :goodvibes

Isn't the week between Christmas and New Years one of the busiest times? I feel for you, my daughter has a 12/27 birthday.

I also don't think you can get in free for your birthday if it isn't your actual birthday

Nancy, thanks! I feel for your daughter as well... yes, I believe that it is a very busy time... but had my fingers crossed that it may not be. :( wishful thinking.

My birthday is 1/1. We were at WDW the week between Christmas and New Year's this past year. It was crazy AND we brought along friends who had never been. We managed; but I was organized and used TGM. We rode everything we wanted and even rode TSM at HS 3 times one day.

Have a great birthday.

WDW is horrendous, let me repeat HORRENDOUS during this time. When you go to the parks, all you see is a sea of smelly humanity. Not my idea of a good time.:scared:

I know many people love it but we will never go back during that time again. Imagine the MK as just a sea of people as far as the eye can see. Even just walking and keeping track of your party is incredibly difficult. DH, DD, and I all held hands so we would not be separated. And I'm not talking about after Wishes or the parade--this is ALL DAY LONG and everywhere in the park. Lines not just for attractions but for the restroom, as well.

My DD15's birthday is also 12/28. We went the year she turned 13. It was awful! Yes, the decorations were beautiful, but our primary memory is just of the crowds. I have never seen anything like it, and we've been at WDW during quite a few peak times (spring break, Thanksgiving). Still, even with those times in mind...the crowds were simply awful.

My old boss went one time during this week. Now, he went to Disney frequently so it wasn't as if he was a "newbie" or anything. He said it was downright scary at the Magic Kingdom. WAY overcrowded and he thought "My God, if something happened here, I don't think I'd get out alive." They also have random gate closures at Magic Kingdom based on crowd levels.

I think it is the WORST time to go. I wouldn't do it. And this comes from someone who has a December 30th birthday. My son has a December 21st birthday. I've often thought I'd like to do a birthday trip too, but it will never happen.

Can you go before Christmas since you live so close? You can tell them you are there celebrating a birthday and get all the birthday perks even if it isn't your actual birthday.
