Birthday Meals/Cakes at WDW Restaurants

Going to celebrate 3 birthdays this July with a big party (2 children and 1 adult). Please recommend the best restaurants for celebrating and the best restaurants that enable you to order a cake in advance.

Finally, if anyone can recommend diabetic and lactose-free meals/desserts?

I've never celebrated a b-day at WDW but we are celebrating my DD's 3rd birthday at the end of this month. We are having breakfast at Chef Mickey's, which I've heard is very fun for b-days. We are also having dinner at 1900 Park fare. The CM told me I could order a cake for both places at least 48 hours in advance. I think we are going to do the cupcake at Chef Mickey's (free) and order the cake for 1900PF.

We've gone the past 2 yrs. for dd's birthday. For her 5th birthday we had dinner at LTT in the MK, and for her 6th birthday we did 1900 Park Faire and ordered her cake from the GF bakery (the pic is in my signature below). Chef Mickey's is fun, she also had a great time at WCC (they put her up on a chair and everyone sang to her, then they gave her free cake...for breakfast!).

My daughter turned 7 and my son turned 6 during our last trip. We ate CRT for breakfast and CP for dinner for my daughter and ate at CP for breakfast and CM for dinner for my son. We let them choose where they wanted to eat in advance. At all four meals they brought out a cupcake with a candle and sang happy birthday. Also, all four tables were decorated and they gave the birthday girl/boy a special place mat.

We did not pre-order a cake--the cup cakes were fine for us. We also, though, did a birthday illuminations cruise where we had their birthday cake. I believe it came from the Boardwalk bakery.
