Hi all-we are in florida this october for my daughters 10th birthday and im wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to make her day extra special?
At the moment we know we'll be visiting one of the parks and it looks like she wants to go to TGI'S in the evening-but if anyone has any good ideas we are open to change.
Also do any of the parks do anything special for a kid's birthday-probably not but worth a try. Many thanks in advance.

family magic tour? illuminations cruise? cinderellas royal table or other great character meal? or how about off site at discovery cove for a dolphin swim?

It's my birthday when we're in WDW in September, although at 44 I'll be a little older :teeth: , and I'm having my birthday lunch at Cinerella's Royal Table :cool1:

Don't forget to pick up birthday buttons (free badges) for her at either the Magic Kingdom or EPCOT - she should get lots of extra attention from the Cast Members and Characters if they know it's her birthday.

I do know that if it is your birthday and you dine in Golden Corral restaurant in the evening, all the staff come out of the kitchen and crowd around your table singing Happy Birthday. It was quite fun to watch, they brought a cake out as well (not sure if it was freebie or not)
:cheer2: :cheer2:

I had a birthday button in the MK and had breakfast with Pooh and the server got me a lovely birthday cupcake.

DH also arranged a Birthday Wishes Cruise with a cake :teeth: for me :)

thanks for all the replies-how do we get the birthday button at MK-is it just ask when you get in?

Where do you get birthday buttons at Epcot? Son wants his birthday spent there.

Actually, I think you can pretty much get them at any Disney guest relations window. My DW got one for me a few days in advance of my birthday - she was booking a PS at MGM and happened to mention it was my b'day treat so the cast member slipped her it under the desk while I wasn't looking. Then she dug it out on the morning itself on our way to Magic Kingdom and made me wear it!

I got Happy Birthday sung to me by the whole carriage on the monorail in the morning, virtually every CM wished me a great day while we were in the park, then in the evening at Whispering Canyon Cafe, I got the privilege of handing out certificates to the winners of the hobby-horse race, plus a candle in my chocolate brownie dessert!

Now if they'll do all that for a 27 year old (a few years ago obviously!), I'm sure they'll make a kid feel even more special on their birthday.
