Actually the whole trip to WDW is a surprise for our DD. We are going to HRH first and the kids think that's the end of the vacation. Can't wait to see the look on their faces when we drive up to GF. We stayed there last August and they think we're not coming back until July 5. Anyway, I know that I want to do a PS at Crystal Palace for breakfast but am debating about dinner between Chef Mickey's, Ohanas, and CInderella's Gala Feast at GF. Anybody do any of these for birthdays? Any other suggestions? Thanks

How cool that your dd will have her birthday in WDW!

Both Ohana's and Chef Mickey's would be great for a birthday dinner.
Chef Mickeys is such a party atmosphere, I can imagine it would be a blast having a birthday there. Plus, if DD is a bit of a pickey eater, the Buffet could be a major consideration. Ohana's is cool because the food is great, especially if you like grilled stuff, and they have the coconut races for the kiddies. If you go late enough, you might be able to see the fireworks at MK. Depending on your budget, Hoop-de-doo review might be of interest. It's a hootin' hollarin' good time. DF also likes the Whispering Canyon cafe at the Wilderness lodge. Kind-of like Hoop, its quite a hoot, and they have horse races for the kids. Just don't ask for catsup!

Thing is, whatever you do, you cant go wrong. Your in Disney World!!!

When my DD was 9 I took her to Chef Mickeys & she received a cupcake with a candle from Minnie (her favorite character). There was singing & napkin swinging & she had a blast! When you make PS make sure you let the CM know that you will be celebrating your DD's birthday at the restaurant. Also when you check in for your PS tell the CM at that time too (cover all the bases- it'll pay off for you & your DD). We haven't gone to any of the others for birthdays so I can't comment on how they would treat the birthday girl.

Don't forget when you visit a park on her birthday to go to guest services for a button. Bring your DD with you & she'll get a phone call from goofy. You may also be able to arrange the same call to come to your room at GF. Just make sure she picks up the phone because the message starts right away. Anyone seeing you DD with the button during the day will make her feel special by wishing her a happy birthday.

When you check in to GF tell the CM at the desk about your DD's birthday. They may leave a surprise in your room for her at the end of the day. We stayed at the FW cabins & told the CM at the desk & at the end of the day there was a birthday card signed by Chip & Dale & a balloon bouquet.

Have a wonderful time. Just watching your DD on her special day will bring you a great deal of joy!
