Hi,

I am about to book our first DCL and I am not too sure what to put for my daughter's age!
She is 5 and the cruise starts 1 week before her birthday and she turns 6 on the day we get off the ship! (how sad!)
In this case, do I put 5 or 6?

Also, can we celebrate her birthday a day before her actual birthday?

Thank you!

Put 5 yrs. You can celebrate her b-day on any day of the cruise. Make sure you let DCL know you are celebrating her b-day. They will leave a special b-day pin in your cabin for her. And at dinner she will get a piece of b-day cake. They will ask which night you want to celebrate.

Put your daughter’s birthdate as of the day you board, so 5. You will need to enter her exact birthdate when you book and show a birth certificate or passport at check-in, so Disney Cruise will know her age. I don’t think there’s any cost difference between 5 and 6 on the cruise, so the only real impact of the age is that she won’t be able to do excursions with a minimum age of 6.

You should have no problem celebrating her birthday a day (or more) early — just tell your dining room server when you would like to celebrate.

She will be 5 on the cruise.
