I must admit I have a pretty good husband, we have been to Disney twice on my birthday and on our next trip we are going on his, I want him to have a fun birthday supper on his birthday. I am thinking either Coral Reef (hopefully with a diver) or Whispering Canyon. He is more of a meat eater than fish. Any suggestions?

I voted "Other". For a fun birthday dinner in World Showcase I would vote for Biergargen. The food is good and the atmosphere is fun. I also would suggest Restaurant Marrakesh in Morrocco. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the servers are warm and friendly. Also you have a Morroccan band that plays and a Belly Dancer that entertains. We really like it there alot.
Have a Fun Trip.

Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian The food, service and atmosphere are great. If you can get a reservation close to the time of the fireworks at MK IMO, this is the best place to view them. The audio is piped into the restaurant and their veranda. Request a table at the window,

I wouldn't have picked either personally, but figure that you have your reasons for your top two choices - so I voted for one of them!! (My DH is in LOVE with LeCellier, so I'd do that for him.)

I voted for Coral Reef. Overall I have read better reviews for the food at Coral Reef - and the atmosphere is constant, even without a diver. Also Coral Reef will do personalized menus for you, so you can get some really cute pictures of you and your DH on the menu. All will be really cool IMO.

Whispering Canyon can be a lot of fun, but you're at the mercy of your server. We had a horrible one and were seated in a bad location for antics. The food was mediocre at best, and without a great server to bring the night around for us it was a big disappointment.

I voted other. How about Jiko's at the AKL or Artist Point at the WL?
Both are incredible restaurants and they will help you celebrate pixiedust:your DH's birthday, :cake:(as will all of the Disney Restaurants!!!)

DH and I went to Yachtsman's Steak House the night of our engagement and it was a very nice place to celebrate. Especially if your DH likes steak!

I would go with Coral Reef given your choices. But I also have to mention Yachtsmen. If your husband loves meat, he will be in heaven! Its pricey but wonderful and very easy to combine with a day/night at Epcot.

That said, the steak at Coral Reef has been excellent each time I have had it. And I love the atmosphere.

Le Cellier is also great.

And then of course, you can treat him to the belly dancer at Marrakesh! My son, husband and stepdad certainly enjoyed eating their meal with that to watch!;)

I voted other. If I were taking my hubby to celebrate his BD, it would def have to be LeCellier, especially if he's more of a meat rather than fish person. Have fun!:)

I voted other. I went to California Grill for my birthday last week and it was amazing. My DH loves steak and said the filet was the best he's had. He cut it with a butter knife it was so tender. The service was great and seeing the fireworks during dessert was wonderful too.

We went to Le Cellier the last time and really I wasn't all that impressed.
Thanks for all of your input!

Between the two, definitely Coral Reef. I've have also had the steak there and it is excellent! Others have also made some great suggestions.

I definitely wouldn't go with WC. Does your husband like a lot of attention? Something like a birthday can get him a lot in that restaurant, but it might not be the kind he would appreciate (I've seen others who had to go around the room on a horse on a stick while singing!).

WC can be very iffy - you also might not get any attention at all. But the last time we were there for dinner (in August), I actually found the whole atmosphere a little bit disruptive. I'd enjoyed it in the past, but on this particular night it seemed like there was so much going on that we couldn't even eat. After a while, you just want to be left alone to eat in peace.

I voted other. We haven't done Coral Reef in years and years and WC was the worse meal of our trip last month--probably won't be back for a very long time (DH got sick on the skillet). How about Biergarten in Germany? Great fun, great drinks and dancing. I saw you didn't like LeCellier--that would have been my first choice (we've gone five times and had five perfect meals).

Why not take him to one of the best disney restaurants on property.
Flying Fish...they have one of the best steaks on property, and also wonderful seafood. Your hubby will love it!

Whispering canyon..you don't go there for the food.
