DS turns 10 the day before we hit the parks. We are staying at Hojos. I was thinking of booking somewhere for his birthday dinner that night. It needs to be gluten/dairy-free friendly and not too expensive.
Would love some suggestions. What kind of fun-kid places are there?

The Rainforest Cafe! I am sure they can accomodate special dietary needs with a little notice.

PCH Grill in PPH has a make your own pizza. Before you say, "But I said..." I understand that the restaurants are very accommodating with notice. I would suggest calling/emailing and asking how they would be able to accommodate you. Hopefully, Molly will jump in and offer suggestions of who to contact. Her moniker is Bumbershoot.

Thank you both, I'll check out both of those places online. It is certainly getting easier to eat out when gluten free which is nice.
If anyone else has suggestions I'd love to hear them too :)

OOps! Double post. Anyway I checked out both of the above. I think C would love the Rainforest Cafe. His hero is Indiana Jones so it seems just the place for him.

In addition to Bumbershoot, Mechurchlady can also offer some gluten free suggestions too. In fact, she said that the chef at Minnie and Friends (and possibly Goofy's too - wasn't clear on that) will make gluten-free things upon request, if I recall correctly.

Goofy's Kitchen makes a lot of gluten free food like waffles and pancakes but I have not done their dinner.

Ariel's Grotto has a wonderful adult menu that is gluten free. They will give him sorbet though, yucky.

Taste Pilot's Grill has gluten free buns but not sure if they are dairy free.
Award Weiners and Casey Corner have gluten free hot dog buns.

Big Thunder Ranch at this time has gluten free meal but no dessert. Whole Foods sells gluten free cupcakes but they have dairy in them and eggs and i paid for them as in my knees hurt after too much dairy.

At WDW they have tofutti and rice dreams for example.

You can try contacting Bill Orton and Chris.

That has their number

They have gluten free pizza and pasta marinara at Pizza Port and Pizza Oom Mow Mow. I am sorry but I know where the GF food is but there is no known lists of other allergen free foods. I talked to chefs like Bill and it is a stone wall. They do not understand that people want to know ahead of time where they cannot eat.

Minnie breakfast, search the term SUFFERING, and you will find my report. I suffered at the hands of the chef Adam. I had fresh fruit and GF as well as dairy free waffles, ham, bacon, I skipped the eggs, sausage, hashed browns, and a lot of fruit. I had to leave the potatos as I was so full and that was the most allergen offensive thing. I did not have one reaction and my pulse stayed normal and I waited for my post meal nap attack but was fine. Adam is very special and makes super meal.

Avoid Carnation Cafe and Riverbelle Terrace. I was given a hot dog bun, chopped steak on the bun, and steamed veggies. I paid $10 for a bun and chopped steak that had to be slathered in ketchup. where is the cheese? I am gluten free not dairy free and service was slow and I felt that for the price I could have gotten fries at Taste Pilot's. Plain out right not worth the money. Riverbelle Terrace has no clue to food allergies and is not on the allergen list of GF restaurants.
