Hi guys,

My DD will be 4 on our trip and i would really like to decorate our room for her at wdw. I know i can use Disney florist but it's quite pricey. Any ideas/experience of this would be great.

Thanks

Rachel :D

Do you want it done for arrival or could you do it yourselves.

eg one of you take her in the pool or something and the other one pop to walmart for some helium ballons/cake and have it as a suprise when she walks back in. Maybe some of that birthday confetti of the table.

You could also put a banner on the door - I saw those ay OKW so assume that is ok with disney.

I could do it myself- her birthday is at the end of our holiday. Great ideas though. Thank you.

My daughter also turns 4 while we are there in October!! I have bought some Minnie Mouse birthday banners from ebay. Like you we had looked into the Disney florist, but they are so expensive. subbing for more ideas :thumbsup2

Publix do a full range of cakes to order - if you look online they have all the options - every character you can think of.

I know I bought a 'spray' of 5 disney princess balloons at walmart for $10 or so (not inflated). It looked lovely blown up for my DD's 4th birthday party - i'm sure walmart could inflate it for you like asda do here.

There is also a shop called party city that does inflated balloons, banners etc - have a look on partycity.com for the nearest to the hotel.

Hi we were away on The Disney Wonder for my daughters 13th and wanted to decorate the cabin but the option on the ship I thought was a lot of $ for what you got so we brought some stuff with us as well as picking up some stuff from the stores over in the US.
We got banners, buntin, balloons and streamers etc from the Card factory very cheap and did not take any room in the cases, we then made some bits that we laminated to put on the door .
The cakes from publix are amazing over the years that we have visited and had birthdays to celebrate my girls always talk about there cakes.
Anyway whatever you do have fun and make some magical memories
Take Care

This was quite a simple attempt but this was my sons 6th Birthday at SSR last year.

We waited for him to go to sleep and then decorate the room for him ready for when he woke up. The banner was from ebay and I just picked up the streamers and noise blowers from wallmart while we were there. There was also an inflatable balloon my SIL picked up and hide on her room till we needed it but for some reason it's not in the photo :confused3

We also organised for the Goofy Birthday phone call too which he loved.

That looks great! That's exactly the type of thing i was thinking of. What did you hang up the banner with?

That looks great!

Also a good idea to do whilst asleep - my DD would think 'Mickey magic' had done it.

I know command hooks are not supposed to mark.
