Birthday Celebrations

Do anyone know who to make a reservation for a birthday celebration. My DD will be turning 16 and I think it would be neat to have a birthday celebration for her. Also does anyone know if You can receive character calls to your hotel room?

Well they do have the happiest birthdays on earth at the Plaza but I can tell you that is REALLY geared towards the little ones. If I were you I would arrange for a nice lunch or dinner at one of the nicer restaurants and see when you book if they can have a special cake or something for her.

As far as a character call have you heard of Disney Enchanted Phone calls? We did this for my daughter last month and she LOVED it. Of course she is only 7 but we were down there on vacation and I just had them call my cell phone.

Hope that helps and make sure to get her a birthday button. You never know what that might get her!

We did the birthday celebration at the Plaza for Dh and he loved it. He is a kid at heart though! they always do neat things for grown ups in the TS restaurants. For information on both you can call 714-781-3463.

We had an enchanted call to our kids on our cell phones for their birthdays. They really thought that was cool and dd said "I'll see you at Disneyland Sleeping Beauty" before it was disconnected. When we got in there I said to Aurora, "Morgan really appreciated your birthday call this morning, thank you" she picked up on it and rolled with it. It was a day I can guarantee you dd never forgot.

For the birthday celebration in the Plaza, does it have to be booked for a large group of people (ie: a birthday party)? Or is it open for PS for anyone celebrating their birthday?

It is for anyone! They will also do happy birthday at most resturaunts. You are never too old for a Disney Birthday!

We did the Plaza Inn party for DD on her 5th, have also gotten the birthday bucket (order it when you make your PS) they will also just bring a cupcake to the birthday person at most of the bigger restaurants for free.

Don't forget to get the birthday pin at City Hall. Have a great time!

While I agree that the plaza is fun for anyone I just meant that since she is a teenager she might be too "cool" for a kidie type deal. It depends on your teen.

I know my teen would be mortified if I took her to that but again it is all up to the individual. There were some older kids there but most were small.

I just think that a nice dinner with a special birthday desert at one of the nicer places she would like better. Like we went to storytellers and they brought Katy out a neat little cake and sang to her.

You might call guest services and tell them she is turning 16 and see if they have any suggestions. Also if you are staying at one of the disney hotels I know you can arrange for a gift basket. I bet she would LOVE that.
