Are birthday candles allowed? I would like to bring on one of the number candles, not intending to light it just wanted to bring it to stick on a cupcake or something.

No, as they are prohibited. But in the MDR, they put a candy candle (obviously this does not have an actual flame) in a dessert for the birthday person.
Maybe you could find a number made of candy, if having the number is important.

That’s good to know. I think as long as we have some kind of candle that’s all that really matters. I don’t think there were any birthdays in seeing or hearing distance for us our last cruise so didn’t know about the candy candle.

This is what the sugar candle looks like. The cake they bring out tastes like chocolate mousse.

Thank you! Our kiddo is turning 4 the first full cruise day, so I’m glad they have something.

Don't forget to add it to your reservation under special requests! Just make sure you have the correct guest chosen when you check the birthday box
