Kidani is so pretty decorated for the holidays!

great pictures of AKV! i'm so excited for you that you got to stay there. we are actually booking there in january for our december 2010 trip, but then tara is gonna change us over to VWL at 6 months out. it was between SSR and AKV and i told her to go with AKV because we'd already stayed at SSR. we will most likely be able to get VWL but just in case we didn't, i wanted to try something new. it's nice to see what it looks like! it's VERY pretty. i wouldn't mind staying there for sure! we are hoping for VWL though just because it's our dream resort at christmastime.

We got up to the desk and did all the formalities for checking in. Then I said to her, "It's his birthday, half a century." She kind of just stared at me for a second and then Chris pipes in, "She meant quarter of a century." I had a blonde moment there. The CM said, "Wow, I was gonna say, you look good for 50!" LOL whoops!

That's sounds like something I would say!

Woo hoo, you made it to Kidani!! Obviously we've never been there yet but I totally agree about pictures not doing it justice...it's the same way with WL and the main part of AKL. You have to see them to really believe how amazing they are! Ahhh less than 4 months till we pull up there. I was wondering if it had a separate drop-off or if it was the same as Jambo House.

That is funny about you saying Chris was half a century. That's how old I'm going to be in March.

Well, I'm happy to hear that you tipped the ME driver. I am always apalled at the number of people that get off the bus without tipping the poor guy. Woohoo you're at Kidani!! Looks awesome with all the decorations. Can't wait to see the upgrade you get LOL (I'm the glass half full type on person!) Oh- and I'll be in WDW in 13 days!

Funny how you are dropped off last from ME but then with the Disney bus you are picked up first and dropped off first and that worked for me!

I'm finally back on DIS too much going on to even tell. But I have to go read now! It was so nice meeting You and Chris KI just read up what a great start and I know the feeling of those purple signs especially after driving 16 hrs! AKV was amazing! We loved it! I'm already second guessing my FDPbb for summer Love all the pics I took some of the same pics lol! Well I haven't been on here in awhile but I have to go I'll try to get back tommorrow. I can't wait for your next update!

OMG, I had the same reaction looking at your PICTURES in June but being there in person...well, you know how it is! Both parts of the resort were really gorgeous, Kidani was just scaled down.

Thanks! It really was amazing. I hope you get to stay at VWL in December but if for some reason you don't I promise you wont be disappointed with AKV! Both Jambo House and Kidani were gorgeousssssss, you would love it. But, I can totally see why VWL would be your dream for Christmas time! If Chris and I don't move down to FL within this year he said we can head back to Disney December 2010 too so maybe we'll finally get to meet up!

Heyyyy my college graduate friend! We really wanted to start yelling at the people to hurryyyyyyy. Yesss, I knew that missing tooth picture would remind you of the tube top one! I didn't want people to think I was missing a tooth though!!! You guys reeeeally need to check out Kidani. Chris is pretty impressive for 50 right? Oh and P.S. we saw the "Speed Hump" sign but I couldn't get a picture of it!!!

Yessss we were thrilled to be there!! You will totally be shocked when you see Kidani...its like Jambo House, just smaller. Gorgeous! You're right, pictures just can't give the true description as when you see it in person. You're so lucky you'll be there in less than 4 months! There is a seperate drop off for Kidani...the walk is way too long between the two to expect people to walk all that way, some with luggage!

Ahhh so you're old like he is?!
