Birthday cakes at full service restaurants???

Do I need my confirmation number if we're staying that GCH and having a cake sent to our room? Because we're booked on dvc points from my father and I dont have it...but my name is on the room. Just curious. Thanks!

Just an update on this.

The new Resort Bakery has been completed and will be opening this Friday. I don't know when the new Custom Cakes offering will begin, but I expect it to be sometime in the very near future.

Thanks for this info. I am thinking next week will be a little too soon then. Guess DH will have to settle for a birthday cookie boat at BB. Oh, well, maybe I will figure out something to celebrate in May when we go.

I am going on Friday the 13th, my Moms birthday. I ordered her the girls cake for 15.99. I was told on the phone that the custom cakes were not available until the bakery was finished and open for business. I will report back on how the cake is. I do wish it was a different cake, but my Mom isn't even expecting a cake so it will be a surprise anyway. We are eating at Cafe Orleans.
