Birthday Cake??

Does anyone have any info on ordering special cakes at Disney TS restaurants (Le Cellier)? I thought I had read here that you could just order them from Disney Dining to be delivered to the restaurant for around $15. But when I made our ADR's she told me I had to order directly from the restaurant and the chef just told me that they are $25. Is it just Le Cellier or what???? I like the $15 price much better than $25!

We have done it from resort bakeries. The Grand Floridian and Boardwalk cakes can be delivered and are excellent.

I called and they said if you ask at the podium, they have 6 inch cakes for $12.50. They don't have to be ordered days in advance. THis was for the 1900 Park Fare but I assume it's all TS restaurants.

I think it depends on the size of the cake and whether it's personalized or not. We ordered from LTT, the cake was an 8" I think, and not personalized. The cost for that one was $12. This past Dec. we ordered a 10" cake (in the pic below) with white chocolate mousse filling and white chocolate icing from the GF bakery, personalized, and it was around $60 by the time they added tax and tip (we were on the dining plan, so it was a bill by itself). The Boardwalk and GF bakeries only deliver to the restaurants in those resorts, but they can box them for pick up if you like.
