I want to order a birthday cake for DW. We have ADRs at Chef Mickey's. I did a search here and found a phone number for Chef Mickey's, but when I called it I got a recording. Has anyone successfully ordered one of the cakes from Chef Mickey's? If so, were you able to speak with someone when you called?

I was able to call the number on the cake thread about 2 weeks ago and got right through to someone at Chef Mickey's (she did put me on hold for a few minutes)...I did call in the afternoon when I thought they might not be as busy...

FYI- I was able to choose a cake type (choc./yellow), filling (dark or white choc. mousse) and icing (choc. or white buttercream) as well as a character picture for the top. She told me that they no longer write messages on their cakes-- which was a little disappointing because it was for my mom's 60th. The character picture on the cake does say "Happy Birthday". It was also decorated with sprinkles and Mickey confetti.

They did not ask for a credit card in advance so I just paid when we were there for our meal last week. The price for this cake was $19.92 (including tax & 18% gratuity) and it was a 6 inch cake (two layer). So there must now be an option of pre-ordering a 6 inch 'customized' cake. I was expecting it was going to be an 8 inch cake but now I honestly can't remember if I asked for a certain size. It was certainly plenty of cake for our party of 9 when you consider all of the yummy desserts in the buffet.

Hope that helps!

I finally got to speak to someone. I left a message this morning and got a call back within a couple of hours. The person I spoke to sounded like she was busy. She told me to call back a couple days before we arrive to order the cake. Our reservations for CM are not until January 1st. I'll try again when we get closer to our trip.

My advice would be to save your money and skip the cake. We went to CM for my husband's birthday. We just told them it was his birthday and they brought him a speciallyl decorated cupcake. The dessert bar is fabulous at this place so and extra cake would be overkill!

I ordered a delicious cake for my DD's 3rd Birthday at Chef Mickey's. Unfortunately I don't recall what number I used to order the cake though I believe I spoke with someone at the hostess's desk. They did ask me to call back a week before my reservation. I ordered a larger cake because we had a party of 12. I'd post a picture but I don't have enough posts... Hmmmm

HTH,
Sharon :)

I spoke with someone and ordered the $16. caked it was either choclate or vanilla same with the icing.

This is true except that sometimes you just want a 'real' cake for a birthday celebration... while it certainly isn't necessary, it's nice to know it's an option...
