Birthday cake after 1900 Park Fare???

We are eating at 1900 Park Fare for my daughter's 6th birthday. I'm torn over whether to spend money on a cake when we will all be so full from the buffet? Plus we would have all had dessert too being its a buffet. What do you think? Should I get one or just get her a cake when we return home?

I would say do not bother ordering a special cake, save it for back home...you will be full...even if you don't like the food, there is a large (and good) dessert section on the buffett, including excellent soft-serve ice cream & sundae bar. (We liked the food, all except the pasta/meat dish & the rolls)

And, if she's wearing the birthday pin & you have it noted on your 1900 Park Fare reservation, chances are they will present her with the special autographed & laminated 1900 Park Fare placemat...and bring her out a special cupcake decorated with Mickey sprinkles & a Mickey candy disc on top. They did this in May 2009 for DH -- and he was so full he only ate one bite of the birthday cupcake but said it was good.

I ordered a beautiful Tinker Bell cake for my 10 year old grand daughters Birthday at Park Fare a few weeks ago. Her mother told me it was a Birthday that she will never forget. They fussed over her, and we all sang Happy Birthday. She danced with the prince. We all loved it. I think you should splurge and buy a cake. Make sure she wears her "Birthday Button" in the parks on her special day. Our grand daughter got many Happy Birthday wishes that day.

Later that week we ate at Cinderellas Castle. I am so glad her birthday was at Park Fare. We loved the characters and atmosphere there so much more than at the castle.

Maybe get a small one and take it back to your room, its a nice gesture I think you daughter would love the special attention.

We go next month on my little girl's 5th birthday and we are going to get the chocolate slipper. I think it will be a big hit with her, but I know we'll be completely stuffed and want to indulge in some of the amazing desserts on the buffet.
