Birthday Board

You know I think it's great that there are people who care enough to say Happy Birthday to all of us DISrs but why are we all the way up the first week in November ?? I'm not trying to pick a fight or start anything, im just curious why ? what's the point then if we can't even acknowledge someone's bday on that day ??

So, you have to go way back to page 12 to find today's birthdays....which were posted ten days ago.

I don't have an objection to a birthday board, but it is necessary to acknowledge ever user that has a birthdate in their profile with a single post? I know you can't mention one person and not another, but I'd sooner see the board be a list of all birthdays for the date in one post, not an individual post for each and every DISer.

How much bandwith do all those entries use and take away from the performance of the boards in general?

My birthday was last week and I got an email from the DIS. I admit I only go to the birthday board on my birthday and I didn't even know it was there until last year. I was surprised at how far ahead they were. It does seem to defeat the purpose, maybe it's time to do away with it.

I use the Birthday Board to wish those I know a Happy Birthday. It has gotten to the point I no longer look back the 10+ pages and just start a new thread.

I'm not even sure some of those names are active posters any longer.
