Birthday at the Castle?

My family is eating breakfast at the castle Dec 26~ party of 11. It is a big family vacation paid for by my brother~ whose birthday is the 26. Will they do anything special at the castle if we tell them it's his bday? If they do, do I need to call ahead or just tell them at the podium when we get there?
Trying to think of something special to do for his bday.... esp since this trip is on him.

They may do something - they may do nothing at all. If you want something special you need to plan for it.

As the PP noted, by going the route of telling the staff, they may do "something" varying from singing Happy Birthday to bringing a cupcake with a candle. Or they may not do anything. At a fixed price restaurant I'm not sure they're likely to provide a free dessert. There are some options (personalized or non-personalized special occasion cake, for example) that guests can reserve and pay for.

ok~ I was thinking more towards they don't have a 'set' thing since it is prepaid. We may ask them, but have a back up plan in case for later in the day

1) Usually,
. . . pixie dust on the table
. . . group wish for everyone with a birthday at that meal
. . . cupcake with a candle
2) There are too many birthdays at WDW to celebrate individually.
3) Now, add anniversaries, graduations, etc.

We told them that we were celebrating my DD Birthday, and nothing special happend, just when we were leaving, the waiter came out, and gave my DD a Happy Birhtday card singed by all the pricessess, and sayd he was sorry, but because she also had an soy and dairy allergy, they prepared everything for her allergies, and forgot about the birhtday until the end of the meal.
