Hi everyone,

We're wanting a birthday tea party at Plaza Gardens on 27th June.

Does the €18 each include the cake, buffet and present? Is the buffet just a dessert buffet, or do we have access to the normal buffet too for this price?

I'm about to phone the booking number (0160 30 40 50). Two questions about this:

1) Do they speak English on the phone?

2) Do you have to pay for the meal on the phone, or when you arrive at Disneyland?

Many thanks!

Hi,

Yes, the 18euro each includes your full access to the normal buffet that everyone else at the tea party has access to (mostly puddings, pastries, but also some savoury items too) plus hot and cold drinks. The tea party buffet is different from the normal Plaza Gardens lunch buffet. Your 18euros also includes the cake for the birthday girl/boy, and pressie for the birthday girl/boy.

They do speak English when you phone to book, and no, you don't have to pay in advance if you don't want to.

do u get the whole cake? this sound interesting n more affordable if it includes the birthday cake :goodvibes

As far as I know you do as when we went there were loads of tables at the end with half eaten birthday cakes on where people hadnt taken what was left with them.
Be warned though most of the buffet is sweet stuff as opposed to savoury. Its a tea party. Its good fun though - weve done it but just as the normal tea party not the birthday one and really want to do it again this summer when we go

Yep, from what I've seen, you get a whole cake per birthday girl/boy at the Tea Party.

We're going again next month - DD's favourite choice out of all the character meals we've done so far :cutie: .

sorry another question: r we allowed to take the uneaten cake back to the hotel?do they boxed it up for us?

If you ask them to box it up for you, they'll happily do that so you can take it away with you.

All booked up!

Amazes me every time on the phone to Disneyland:

"Bonjour" followed by random French.

"Hello. Do you speak English?"

"Ah good morning sir. How can we help you today?"

Completely flawless switch into English. It's great. Don't know why it impresses me every time, but it does!

Anyway - as I said, all booked up. It's my girlfriend's birthday (22) which we're celebrating. So there'll be me at 21 and her at 22. They'll probably ask where our kids are - I don't suppose adults celebrating is very popular!

It always makes me feel inadequate ~ even though I managed to pass both my French and German 'O' levels many many moons ago ;) I can only manage to speak a smattering of each. I have great respect for people who are fluent in more than one language. :goodvibes

Don't you believe it ~ I am noted for saying I will still be having character meals even when I have to hobble in on my zimmer frame!! :lmao: You'll have a great time! :wizard:
