What could I do to make a special birthday for a boy turning 6? Any tips for requesting a convient room to buses & food court@Port Orleans Riverside? Thanks!

Whenever I see one on a child, I say "happy birthday!" and so does most CM's and other guests. It gives kids a lot of attention (which is what most kids want for their birthday!).

I hear that you can get them at guest services at each park.

I think that your room requests were a different question? You can call and request a specific building. Upon check in, try the request again. They try to honor your request, but it IS only a request.

We got my niece the birthday pins in March when we were there for her birthday. She loved it.

We also went on a Wishes cruise with the whole family (11 of us.) They had balloons and a birthday banner hanging on the side of the boat and we had a GIANT birthday cake, sodas and birthday hats and noise makers. It really was a lot of fun. People in other boats all stopped and hollered Happy Birthday, so it was like everyone was celebrating with us.

If you are planning a special birthday meal for the birthday boy- then I'd have them note it on the ADR. I know we will be heading to WDW during DS's next birthday. I let him pick out where he wanted to eat that day and for which meal. He wants dinner at LTT-- so I will ask them to note it on the ADR.

If you let them know when you make your ADR, they usually decorate the table for you with streamers and little Mickey sequins! We have done this at Tony's!

BIRTHDAY PIN!! I am such a huge advocate of that. We got my dad one for his 55th birthday and he had the best birthday ever. He still tells people that was his best day because of all the magic that the people in Disney helped to create.

We also scheduled a character breakfast that day and when I called to make PS I let them know he'd be celebrating a birthday. We didn't buy the cake, but they gave us a complimentary cupcake with a candle and had ribbons decorating our table when we got there. It was wonderful!

To get the birthday pin, go into the MK, go to your left to town hall and ask them at the counter. The pins are free.
