I need to know the birth stones for June, Oct and November. I have searched online and I found that there are several for each month so I'm hoping I can get help to narrow it to 1 for each month. What is the most common for each month?
Thanks for the help

Oct is the Opal that is what my birthstone is

Thanks for the help. I'm thinking of doing something for X-mas for my family members that included their birth stones and I wanted to see what the "common" birth stone was.

Interesting tidbit: some people think that opals can only be worn by people born in October. If someone not born in Oct. tries to wear one, it is said to bring them bad luck.

I've heard that it's bad luck to wear an opal if it's not your birthstone unless it was a gift.
I have a gorgeous 3 carat opal ring surrounded by diamonds that I absolute love and it was a gift. no bad luck wearing it yet (knock on wood)

I have always heard that too.

I have a mother's ring and 2 of my kids were born in June and 1 in October.
The other 2 were born in March and Sept.

My oldest DD had the ring made for Christmas one year and they used pearls and an opal.

I guess I am safe wearing the opal since it was a gift :goodvibes

::yes:: On our honeymoon, I bought an opal bracelet and ring for myself (I'm a june baby). Within a month, the stone on the ring and one stone of the bracelet broke/chipped and we had a string of bad luck untill both pieces were washed away in a flood. In all seriousness, I will never buy or wear opal again, even though I love the look of it.

And, yes, I got pregnant within weeks of buying and wearing a moonstone necklace.

I have always heard this too. I wear it anyway since it's my birthstone! :Pinkbounc

July is a ruby and September is Sapphire....

and I have heard the same about the opal - got one for graduation and within weeks the stone fell out of the ring and it is gone forever!!
