which is your favorite style and did they take long to break in? I really like the Boston style, but its hard too make up my mind. thanks

Don't wear them myself (I'm a Teva lady ;)) but giving you a bump :)

I like Boston and House, as far as the clogs. My favorites are the sandals, though. I have the cross straps, 2 straps, and 3 straps. Sorry, I can never remember all the names.
I bought two new pairs of sandals about a week ago, and I've been alternating them. They're feeling broken in and comfy now.

I have several pair of sandals, and just ordered a few more. I can never remember the names either, I know I have some "Milano's" that I like.

They usually break in after one or two days... With high arches I LOVE these shoes! I order them from the manufacturer in Germany, slow delivery but much cheaper than anyplace else.

Our Sam's Club has a ton of the different sandals for $39.95, right now. They're different Betula varieties, all leather. That's where I got my newest pairs.

I LOVE sandals! I have the two strap sandals (don't know their name). It took about a week for me to break them in. I wear them practically everyday. They're my walking the dog shoes, winter, spring, summer and fall (unless there's snow on the ground). I've had them for about 4 or 5 years now and I know they have at least 4 or 5 years left in them. I love them! I could never wear them for any sort of long distance walking though.

Helenabear -- I just bought my first pair of Teva's because of what people have said about them here on the boards. :) They're really comfy! :)

thanks guys for all your responses, I saw quite a few on ebay coming from Germany but I am hesitant to order from there, so I will get mine from qvc. Thanks now all I have to do is decided on which one or ones;)

My favorites are the Florida (3 skinny straps). I have some birkibuc ones but my leather ones are my favorites. Though the man-made material seems to look better longer than my leather.
It takes me almost 1 month to break them in. I do it slowly, wearing them about 1/2 of a day at a time. I stand doing hair all day and if I put them on for all day at first, I'm not a happy camper that night! My birkis are worn all the time--I even wear them as slippers.:D

I have to say, Birkenstock has ruined my feet for anything else! I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing! Anyway, my favorite clogs are the Boston & my favorite sandals are the Granada (slides) and the Bali (ankle strap). I'm in the market for a pair of real Birkenstock shoes. I hate spending this much on shoes, but my feet demand it! (I can still wear athletic shoes, and I have Birkenstock inserts for other shoes, but I'm still a Birkie girl!)

ByTheSea~ how do you figure the cost out on that terrific site? thanks for the pm.

I just go to http://finance.yahoo.com/m5?s=USD to get the current rate of exchange... ya never know exactly what it turns out to be until it hits the credit card

Right now 50 Euro dollars = 53.11 U.S. Dollars

The best part about that site? If you aren't in a hurry shipping is free! I have purchased from there 3 times with no problems.. just ordered again but I don't expect to receive the shoes for another 3-4 weeks.

By the sea - what is the website that you order from? Free shipping and good prices sound good and maybe I'll finally get my first pair of birks

I have a pair of three strap sandles and I just bought a pair of clogs because I was impatient for warm weather when I could wear my sandles again. It takes me 2-3 weeks to really break my shoes in. Both of these I bought from QVC as their special and have been very pleased. I'll have to check out that web site though to see how their prices are. I am hooked!

I had no idea my favorite sandal was called Florida. Makes sense though.

It takes me about a week to break in a pair. I love my Birkies, I even wear them when I'm touring the parks at WDW :)

Maggie, they are what I live in during the summer (when not wearing work clothes). I have had four pairs over the course of 10 years and I have only had to "retire" one pair. They are perfect for me for WDW and unless it is "cold" I do not wear anything but them there as well.

And as to not hijack this thread, I know a friend of mine has a pair of Birks that look just like the pic Kath just posted and loves those!!!
