I am really scared of birds, and am wondering if while you are eating outside on the deck after boarding are there a lot of birds flying around getting close and trying to grab your food?
I would love to eat outside but I just can't if there are a lot of birds.
My kids think this is funny :rotfl2: but to me it is not.

there aren't a lot of birds... there may be a few here or there looking for a snack but nothing that is too noticible to bother you. it is much cooler to sit inside, but the view outside is just beautiful! I don't think you'll have too much of a problem with them ;)

There weren't a LOT of birds, but there were some. We were sitting next to a table with a family eating and as soon as they got up, a bird came over to "finish their plates". But like I said, there weren't a bunch of them swarming around or anything like that. Have a fun trip! :sunny:

Just replied to your earlier pm.

I do not remember having a problems with birds. I have seen the pics of the birds at the tables but I do not remember having a problem.

Did you watch Birds when you were growing up? I did...I still have a little fear of them.

If you have a verandah cabin, hope that your neighbors don't feed the birds from the verandah or else you will get this....click the link.....(warning...it is a close up of birds).....

This was on another cruise line and was cool to see but not if you were afraid of birds, obviously.....we were in St. Thomas and the same thing happened when we were on DCL and someone started feeding the birds from the verandah....birds are always looking for a free meal.

When we dined at Port Canaveral, on Deck 10 - we did have birds. You should check it out before bringing your food out. There also was a covered area with just a few chairs and tables on the terminal side. You may be able to sit there and not be bothered by the birds.

We were on the Wonder, I do not recall Birds in Nassau.

And I do not recall any birds on our verandah.

Just dine inside Parrot Cay for the buffet and this will not be a problem..
plenty of tables and A/c
If there is a little wait or they tell you to go to topsiders tell them you want to dine here ... later on the cruise when you are at sea or something like that you can eat outside..there are birds the day you get on the ship..trying to get food.. they know...

My dad has a farm and when I was about 8 I was attacked by one of the roosters, it was awful, my mother had to kick him off off of me. I did see the movie The Birds and can't even stand to see a picture of sceens from the movie. I probably need some kind of professional help. LOL

Thanks for everyones post.

I opened up those pics :scared1: :scared1:
Now I am very thankful now that I don't have a verandah

I know what you mean! I have never had a fear of birds, but YIKES! Those pictures are scary.

Vickie, this is going to be a hot thread. You want some popcorn?????????? to go with the movie I rented..."Birds".... :rotfl2:

Seriously when I get to work in the mornings at 7:00 am and it is still dark (winter time) the black birds really freak me out. They will fly at you and then follow you...To Alfred Hitchcock for me.

mmouse37.... Those pictures are hilarious to look at in the text of this thread! Poor girl opening them! oh my....how funny! We only saw birds in one of the squares in Mazatlan. Don't know what cruise you are going on. They would be annoying around a verandah like that and at Topsiders too. Oh mmouse37.... you have pictures for everything.....I love it! Shoes....birds....what's next!

That is why I put a warning in...didn't want to freak anyone out when they opened the bird pics!!!

Just ask away and I probably have a pic of it somewhere....I love taking pics and I have to tell you all that when I am snapping away on my camera I am always thinking of the disboard folk and if it is something that can be used here....I am always looking out for my internet friends....though I do have to say that I was very surprised when I read the title of this thread....I thought to myself...how odd....and I have a pic of it....even odder!!!! Hey...want to see a pic of the vacuum cleaner that they use to clean the cabins and hallways....they actually have a name for him....it's Henry....take a look LOL!!!.
