Bird Owners!

So here's the deal, I've had budgies basically since I've been 10, so after almost 20 years I'm a pro when it comes to keeping them. I'm seriously debating branching out and getting either a Quaker or another small parrot.

I know there are Dissers out there who are Parrot parents. What are the pros and cons of the different smaller parrots? I'm not naive when it comes to the cost, and I know it'll be a long haul pet.
