In May, I rented DVC points for BWV for Sun-Thurs and then used an AP code to add two more nights at POP both at the beginning and end of my trip to make nine nights. I wanted to do almost the same thing for my upcoming Dec trip.
The lady I rented points from in May has checked for me, but was only able to get BCV studio for Tues-Fri. She waitlisted for Sun-Mon. I'm under no obligation and she has said that if it didn't work out that she would either cancel the ressie before her deadline or else post it on the rent/trade board. If the waitlist comes through, I definitely would want to spend two nights at a Value, then the next five nights at a BCV studio, then a final two nights at AKL or CS. However I'm afraid that the waitlist won't come through and if I wait too long that I'll also lose the Best Rate Deals going on right now. What would you do: go ahead and book a split stay using the Best Rate Deals or wait and see if the waitlist comes through for BCV and then try to get the Best Rate Deals to add on two 2-night ressies at the beginning and end of my stay? If at all possible I want to rent the points for that BCV studio, but hate to lose out on the Best Rate Deal if the BCV falls through or the waitlist doesn't come through before 120 days out.
I thought about booking for two nights at the beginning and two nights at the end of my projected stay now, using the Best Rate Deal and then if the BCV came through great, but if not could I then add days to the nights I already had booked using the Best Rate Deal? Does that make sense? I know I would have to make two nonrefundable deposits, but would I also have to pay a fee if I added nights to both ressies later. I want to either stay 2 nights at All Star Music, 5 nights at BCV, then 2 nights at CS or AKL or else I want to spend four nights at CS and four nights at AKL I think.
