Biometrics Tied to Profile or Specific Ticket?

We're wanting to use magic bands for our upcoming trip in December. We're not staying on property, so we won't be getting any "complimentary" (included) magic bands. We would like to avoid spending the $13 for a new magic band, and my husband can't find the only one that is currently attached to his name. However, I was able to find one attached to another name on my account for someone who won't be coming.

I'll be using new tickets for this trip-- complimentary tickets and MVMCP tickets. Will we run into issues with the biometric not being the same as the one for previous tickets used under this person's name? Or are the biometrics newly assigned for each ticket?

You cannot use another person's magic band. Once linked to that person they are permanently linked. The band is a conduit to that person's MDE account and does not store any actual information.

To answer your question about the biometrics, they are tied to the ticket media and not the band - but the band is tied to a specific MDE and cannot be changed.

When a brand new ticket is linked to an MDE profile, anyone can use the linked MagicBand as the new biometric gets attached to the new ticket. The name can be edited to the new user's name.

The MB isn't being interchanged. It remains where linked - the name can be changed when a new ticket is linked and put into use.
