My parents just bought a lake house, and they have asked for binoculars for Christmas. They really just want them for viewing nature (and people) out on the lake from the cabin windows, nothing too fancy. I thought maybe a basic nature telescope would be nice, too, to set up on a stand at the window as opposed to holding up/sharing a pair of binoculars.
