CNN said Obama actually gave the orders Fri morning when the wedding was on.

Wow, that's crazy to think he had this on his mind while visiting the Alabama tornado damage.

Yeah and these same sources were all saying it was a missile strike from an unmanned drone that killed bin Laden.

So I'm (for the moment) going to take the President at his word about the timing of the events over random "sources".

My parents are British and trust me - they had the same feelings when the news of Hitlers death came across the radio.

Same here. It goes against my nature to be happy about a death, but tonight my nature must be ok with it!

i thought i heard that too but i was in the middle of changing channels so i wasn't sure.

i do know they said his #2 man wasn't there so he's still out and about ready for revenge.

i'm thinking the alert in teh States should be increased though with all their sleeper cells they have the patience to wait .

it's going to be hard to take down the followers. since they split off so much

Great news. But it does scare me that there will be retaliation. He wasn't alone in all this.

I'm very scared about retaliation. Especially since my family and I will be flying in a total of 4 planes this coming weekend.

What a night. I was about to settle in and watch a Royal Wedding recap when they came on about this announcement forthcoming from the president. I figured it was something about Libya.

So many feelings, relief, happiness ( I am happy he's dead and I won't apologize for it), and pride in our military but also worry. Retailiation will probably be a very real factor.

While I can understand the relief and yes even happiness, I can't say I am liking this drunken looking crowd in front of the White House. I hope they realize the very people who made this possible are in a very dangerous position, even more than usual. This is a good thing for sure, but its not cause for something quite this boisterous in nature. Maybe I am getting old and grouch, don't know.

God bless our troops, they have done us proud yet again.
