We have never been to the water parks but this year we have one day passes. I was wondering if either one is more gearred for little kids. I have a 5 and 7 yr old and neither can swim by themselves. Which park was the most kid friendly attractions.
Thanks

In my opinion, each of these parks is primarily geared towards stronger swimmers, but each has a little kid area with activities geared toward the younger set. I'm not sure if one has a better area than the other -- perhaps someone who has gone to both with young kids will post the answer for you. Each of the parks also has a family raft ride that is fun and the entire family can ride together.

Subscribing to find out more information. DD will be 5 on our next trip and she does swim, but I would love to read reveiws from parents who have actually taken children to the water parks.

Both TL and BB have areas for kids who are younger. The lazy rivers are only about 4 feet deep and you can float together. The wave pool at BB is mediocre, only bobbing waves. TL has big waves, but if you are not that far out, you will only get a little wave action. I love TL and I'm not that great a swimmer.

Both places have family slides where the entire family can go down together in a raft.

You can borrow foam jackets for the kids to help keep them afloat.

TL also has the new rollercoaster tube slide where you can go by yourself or with a family member.

Bumping and subscribing with more questions.

We have ds 4 who is a pretty good swimmer (for a 4 year old ;) ) , husband and pregnant chubby old me so no slides there!

Which one is warmer? ARe the pools heated at both? We're going in march so it's a bit hit and miss on the weather...I can't wait until the 7 day forcast comes out on weather.com.

DS has some 'extras' on his non-expiring ticket from last time so we thought this might be a bit cheaper than wet and wild, about which I also know nothing! :)

Thanks

Yep, pools are heated. We've gone in Nov, Dec and Jan several times. March should be fine.

we went to both the last trip. Ds was 12 and two dd's 6. None are strong swimmers. The kids preferred BB over TL. The girls were afraid of the wave pool at TL and thought the kiddie area was to babyish. At BB they loved Ski Patrol, they were able to do everything by themselves while I sat on the side of the pool and watched. The water isn't very deep, they didn't need life vests. They also have a family raft ride that we all went on together, including grandma. I didn't notice any difference in water temp. between the two.
