Just wanted to pass along a head's up to you all. I vacationed at RPR in July and am still trying to get my credit card straightened out. The items were credited at checkout and I have the copy showing that. However, when I got my credit card bill two days ago, one of the credited items still was charged. Make sure you double check your bill AND credit card statement when it comes. FYI, this is what happened w/mine:
1.) double-charged for entire 10-night stay (supposedly, someone new didn't know how to just put a temporary "hold" on the amt.) Corrected after we returned home and credit card fraud called us to verify. Called RPR and bill was corrected.
2.) phone call charged to our room which was credited (we all had cellphones and never used the room phone) corrected at checkout and showed up correctly on credit bill.
3.) $400 ($100 per night room key charge privilege for last 4 nights there) when we only ok'd it after trying to rent a movie in the room.....the $14+ movie charge also was on bill seperately. The $400 was credited back at checkout, but somehow still ended up on credit card bill.
Keep an eye on all your paperwork, receipts, and bills until you're absolutely sure the charges are correct. This is like the vacation that just won't end!
**UPDATE: The RPR front desk manager returned my phone calls this evening and said he knew exactly what had happened and he would take care of it. Give them credit, they do respond quickly........of course I'll have to wait until my next month's credit card bill to see if the $400 is really credited correctly
