Billing Discrepancy

My daughter is 2. I’m sure I had booked the dinning plan for her, and paid extra for it. I confirmed this with the CM when I booked the vacation. I confirmed it again two weeks before our vacation when I called about our magical express reservation.

The Wilderness Lodge says she is not on the dinning plan. I called the reservation phone number, and they say they can’t access our reservation because we are checked in.

I asked the Wilderness to give me a detailed billing. The e-mail confirmation we received when I placed the reservation just lists a lump sum. I would feel better if I just could see clearly that we did not pay extra for something we are not receiving. Although I believe I did pay extra. They say they can not give me a break down of our charges. They say only reservations can do that.

Does this seem right? The hotel can’t give me a break down of our charges, and reservations can not as well. I can’t be the first person to ever have a billing discrepancy with D World. Who should I call?

You should have the total sum....but it is broken down underneath on my initial confirmation. It says who on the reservation is entitled to what. it has like Person 1 and 2 then it says Table service meal (1 per day); same for Quck service and snack. This is after all the other stuff is listed like the arcade voucher, PH coupon, etc

I think the original OP means she wants the amounts broken out showing what she paid for DDP, hotel, etc, separate.
There is no such breakdown of amounts for each item. Nor will you be able to get one.
You would just have to see what is listed per person.
Did you have her age changed for this trip?
Did you also pay for passes for your daughter? That would be an indication if you upgraded her to include dining also.
It may have been a misunderstanding somewhere at booking. :confused3 Maybe by your daughter being on the dining plan, the CM thought you meant if your daughter could dine without it being OOP? :confused3
Hard to say. But if you upgraded/changed her age, you would have been paying per night for her food and for the same type ticket you had too.
The dining plan would not have anything to do with ME. As long as she is on the res, she would be counted for ME.
I think the best you can do is see how your confirmation listed her.
Dis-ers here with a difference between an infant and a child can answer how they are listed on a confirmation.

if you told the cm you child was 2, they should not have charged you for her since she is free

If she is 2 they won't let you add her to the dining plan (even if you pay for it) unless you change her age to 3 and pay for tickets (DD was 15 months our 1st trip with her and we are going in May with 2 under 3) and they won't let us add the girls unless we list both as 3 and pay for tickets etc for them both.

When you look at your confirmation they send to you in an email they DO break it down - it will read tickets (2 A, 0C), table service (2A per night) etc. If you paid for your DC it should read 2A, 1C) per night, etc.

Yep, these are things to look for. If you did not say she was 3 and bought her park passes as well..then there is no way she would be on the dining plan. Also I think that it is better to pay out of pocket for little kids meals, instead of saying they are over age 3..given the increase in cost for the tickests as well.
Hopefully you get the information that you need.
