Seeing as how my parasailing excursion got axed, I was thinking of doing the bicycle rental. I believe I have read that there is a beautiful outlook that is only available on the bike trail- is that true?
How long should I reserve a bike for? Do they only have a couple of bikes or are there alot? Should I reserve one now or just wait?
Once you get to the outlook do they tram you back or do you have to walk? Can you rent the bikes for a round trip?
Do they have bike's for two, three and four or just one?
Most important of all, is the bike trail plain or full of nooks and crannies that invite you to explore?
Thanks for all the help.

The bike trail is pretty straightforward. It is a nice ride but if you are looking to mountainbike you don't get to. They are cruising style one person bikes and they do have a lot of them. The ride will not take too long so you can do it in an hour. The view at the end is pretty amazing.

Glad to hear this. We've booked bicycles for our December cruise and I was hoping it wouldn't be too taxing with the heat/humidity factor. Haven't been on a bike in donkey's years. I noticed when we booked, there wasn't a particular time slot. I believe the ressie lists a start time of 'all day.'

There are 2 bike trails on CC. On one you go ride down the "airstrip" and take a right at serenity beach. The other one is about halfway to there and I don't remember any view of the ocean from this trail. They do have cold water and cups along the route. At least they did when we last cruise in 06.

Glad I won't be the only bike virgin out there! It has been too many years between bike rides. I figure with all the food I'll be eating, I'll need the bike ride to burn off some mega calories.

Thanks for the info!

Pictures of the airstrip, lookout and a view of the ship from the lookout. We loved the bikes and I highly recommend them. We've rented them twice and there's always a bunch to choose from. We loved the lookout they've added. Yes, you can only get there by bicycle.

we rode bikes both times and really enjoyed it...
and that was even though it was HOT when we were there....
on the bike trail (from serenity beach) there was at least one water station along the way, which was really nice (and necessary by that point)...

i just noticed your signature -- my sister was at the FORCE conference in tampa (i think it was in May)....she said it was an amazing experience...

There are two water stations on the "runway", one on each end, one by the old airplane, and one down by serenity bay ... then along each path there are at least 2, maybe 3 more.

NCardella, Thank-You for the nice pictures! I think I can handle the bike trail.

Thanks everyone for the info and replies!
