I did a search and can't quite come up with the info I need.......I know 5 people can sign up for the plan. If you have more in your party, can you switch (except for the driver) the passengers? We have a couple of older people that would probably only go once and it would not be worth getting another plan to accomodate them. Anybody know?

We did the recreation package 2 years ago, and at that time the group members were not interchangeable, mainly because we had to fill out liability waivers and provide ID in advance, which they kept on file for the duration of our stay.

Keep in mind that they have new watercraft in the MK lakes areas that replaced the water mice and the age limit has changed - driver must be 16 if I recall correctly. That will likely change the provisions of the recreation plan, though I don't know that for certain.

Perhaps you can call the resort you plan to stay at and inquire?

When were at OKW in April I inquired at Hank's about the boat & bike plan. The CM's there knew nothing about it. :( Anyone have any info on this so I'm more prepared for our Nov. trip?

Melsmice, I've never heard of the plan being available at OKW, I think the only DVC resort that offers it is VWL.

Does anyone know anything to the contrary?

Stayed at BCV but signed up for plan at Contemporary. Boats go twice as fast over there vs. YC/BC area. You must be a licensed automobile driver to "drive" boats. 5 can be in plan for drivers, anyone can be a passenger. I believe passengers must still register.

Rumor is that there was a tragedy of sorts, young kid getting hurt, and they changed the policy. I believe that at the YC/BC old policy is still in effect, 12 year olds can drive but they go ooh so sloooooow.

Hope this helps.
