Healthy Habits Week 11: A "Thoughtful" Pamper Week
For some reason, I have Pooh on my mind.

There are no points to submit for Week 11.
1. Think about your weight loss/maintenance journey. What is holding you back? What goals have you achieved? Where do you want to go next? Write down your goals. It's a great motivator!
2. Finish the sentence "I am happiest when..." and do something that makes you happy.
3. Spend some time in the 100 Acre Wood...or really, experience nature. Listen to the birds chirping or feel the wind on your skin.
4. Artificial sweeteners get a good rap and a bad rap. Honey is usually considered a good sweetener. Experiment with using honey.
5. Dare I suggest this? Be lazy for a few minutes. (I'm thinking Eeyore here.)
6. Hop like Roo! No matter how much pampering you do, stick to your exercise plan. You'll be glad you did!
I'll have to do a few of these, especially 3. I like that kind of thing. We're going to Mt. Vernon this weekend, maybe I can find some quiet time in his garden. Not sure what crowds are like there.
WHOO I lost 2 lbs this week... after joining I lost a couple of pounds then slowly gained it back and a little more and now I think I am back at the starting weight I had.. it's ok I LOST this week.. I am hoping its because of the Zumba classes I am taking twice a week (Tue & Thurs) so far i've done 4 classes and 16 more to go!

Hope everyone has a great weekend/week.. Michelle
Yes! for two pounds...I'm in the same boat, except I'm still going up again. I've been bouncing around this whole challenge!
Thanks for coaching this week!!
I've been watching here and there when I can. I really love gymnastics and track. Since I'm a runner, watching all the sprinters is really inspiring. I love gymastics (especially the hulahoop dancing yesterday!). It looks like such a beautiful and incredibly difficult sport, I love it.
---
I'm down .6 this week!!

That's a big deal considering I've continuously gained. I'm ready to kick butt!
Yeh on being down! I do enjoy rhythmic gymnastics (had to look up the spelling on that - had a weird mental block) but saw team rhythmic gymnastics and thought it was just strange. But I do like it on their own...I like the ribbon the best, not sure when they will show that.
Welcome new coach & happy birthday yesterday!
QOTD: As for the olympics, I watch all events as I can, but I'm not religious about it except I LOVE US women's soccer & they were awesome! Glad they got the gold!
Thanks! I'm not a soccer gal, but I did check up on it while they were showing. US is leading the medal count I believe.
I've been watching a bit of the Olympics, namely the mens swimming and womens gymnastics. They really should be more inspiring...but I've been lazy the last couple days! I do have a 5k coming up and I'm thinking that will whip me into gear. I just hope I can beat my time from February- the only thing that has me worried about it is the heat!
I'm inspired but still not moving. But getting ideas on what I want to start doing for movement once DS goes back to school and starts running every night. Gotta start staying OP better as well, but work is stressing me out.
I live and breathe the Olympics when they are on (both summer and winter)
Probably why I don't "look" like an athlete...cuz I spend to much time on the couch watching them!

Did gymnastics years ago so love that and did springboard diving one year in college (had a crush on one of the male diver

) so like watching that as well. LOVE volleyball so beach volleyball is one of my all time fav's
Things have been status quo for me...still having more off days then on but at least the weight is not climbing....
struggeled with the meals because of the kids

have been doing research and they suggest things like bagels and peanut butter, spaghetti and meat sauce, so not on my diet plan!!! Oh well, will have to figure something out.
Still having a very unmotivated work day

really would just like to go shopping!! Not for anything in particular...just shop....of course my DH is in a panic when I get into those moods!!!
I am like you, both Olympics I am catching all my favorite events, as much as I can. But my couch time is counting against me!
Awesome that you did gymnastics and diving - that is so cool! I dislocated my kneecap back in high school and then messed up the ankle on my other leg (fell down the stairs while using crutches).
Good that the weight is at least steady...better than going up!
Maybe when they have bagels you take half - or even slice it one extra slice. I use reduced fat peanut butter, and only 1/2 serving - 1 T goes a long way! We have spaghetti pretty regularly. It is a 10 point meal for me for 2 1-cup servings, sometimes I only eat half. Pretzels are high in carbs, and some types are diet-friendly. But it is hard to come up with those! Maybe different meals - that seems to be the case for us fairly often. I'll have a big salad and just a taste of the meatloaf if I am short on points.
Carol- Thanks! I know, it's very strange how it kind of popped back into feeling good!
Work was ok today. I have two people tomorrow and then I'm off until Tuesday when I have 3 in the morning and 2 at night. Excited about the new therapist starting tomorrow. It will make my life easier!
I think we're going out to dinner tonight. Well, at least that's my plan! LOL!
It's so humid here! We had a 20 minute downpour earlier.
Think I'll go change and find something to drink!
TTFN
Hope you get to go out! I was hoping too, but DH is working late. Maybe tomorrow...
I hope the new therapist works out. It'll be great for you.
We missed the rain, but at least the cold front has cooled things off.
Happy Birthday Carol

QOTD: I really haven't watched a lot of the Olympics this time around. They're fun, but not something I really get into anymore. Sports just isn't that inspiring for me for some reason.
About the video: Its called 10 Minute Solution: Pilates on the Ball and its programmable as far as choosing segments, Upper body, Lower body, Abs, Total body and Flexibility. You mix and match exercises from within each segment, so its a really basic programming type thing. Each segment is 10 minutes long and for now I am going to have to stick with 2 segments. I am only good enough to do 1 target segment and then the flexibility. For the arms today I tried an experiment that failed. I started with my old video 10 Minute Solution on the Ball Upper Body routine, and tried combining it with the Pilates Upper Body and the Flexibility. I and not strong enough to do all 3 in 1 workout. So will have to work out a schedule for getting the weights in as I think that will help me with the Pilates because the Pilates uses my body as the resistance for the arms. Don't know how long it will be before I can do them together, but it will be awhile. Its a work weekend at target for me so no more video workouts until Monday. I am going to try and get them in 4-5 times per week. And maybe after next week I'll add in the Lower body routine. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks!
I looked them up on line, they were put out by Special K if those are the right ones.
Amazon had them for $9 each, I might look at them and order a couple. They look pretty good, and I can fit in 10 minutes here and there!
I've been eyeing my old video, 20 Minute Workout. I guess men really like it too

, but it was a quick decent workout. Cut out the jumping they do, another quick workout.
QOTD:
My favorites have always been gymnastics, track and field and diving in the summer Olympics and figure skating in the winter Olympics.
I love all of those! And with all the others, hard finding time to fit them all in. Especially the equestrian...that takes a looonnng time. Especially since I was watching online, and they show everyone, not just the highlights.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Glad the weekend is here. I need it! My boss is back on Monday - he is a really decent boss, but I tend to get a lot more done when he is gone! But now I just saw DS running schedule, and I need to leave early 2-3 times a week to get him to where he needs to be for running. He won't be happy, concerned about how it looks to others, but I need to get him to practice...DH is going to cover the morning schedule if he runs in the morning, and it is easier for me to cover the afternoon since DH is 1 1/2 hours away. Told DS he needs to studying for his driving test, and we'll get him a nice used car so he can get where he needs to go!
Not OP again today - Chinese for free lunch Friday, I had trouble scaling back. I really have got to get myself back in line, just having a lot of trouble

.
