Biggest Loser show chit-chat

Not a lot of drama last night. The challenges were okay.

Oh the rains of California and the mud. Looked like they had fun.

I feel bad for Vicky-she is so far behind everyone else as far as "getting it". I think she has only just started to figure things out.

The preview for next week however looks very, very interesting. Emotional O'Neal may just go around the bend for good.

It was a good week. I thought after last week that Andrea was going to be gone next. Her revelations on television about wanting to be in love took a lot of balls.

I don't think O'Neal will be around a lot longer. I am still pulling for Sam but it will be hard for him to keep pulling big numbers. I think he has to watch how he works out since I think he is replacing fat with muscle and while that is good for life it isn't for the scales.

I gotta say I didn't think this is a show I would like but I do. I now have 2 reality shows I watch...this and Amazing Race.

I don't think O'Neal will be around much longer either. He still is doing a lot for Sunshine, doesn't seem like he cares as much about himself. And while that is what parents do, in this case he really has to think of himself and let her do her own thing.

I didn't get to watch last night, but am planning to watch tonight. Can't wait to see what happened with O'Neal.

I really like O'Neal and I know he had a tough week with the loss of his brother and his knee injury, but I am SO OVER his drama! He is just an emotional disaster this week. Maybe that sounds harsh, since he is dealing with a personal loss and such. Maybe it was over-emphasized by the producers. It just seemed like the entire second half of the show was dedicated to O'Neal's dramas. Meanwhile, poor quiet Daris is shoved to the background... AGAIN!!

Sorry that Vicky had to go home, but she wasn't really putting her all into it (at least that is the way it appeared). Hope she has great success at home!.....P

I have to wonder if some of those things were down to editing, especially Vicky. They did show her standing around in the gym a lot but they are in there for a while and it wouldn't be hard to pull out a couple of seconds between sets or right after a interval where she would be doing that.

I think O'Neal is a bit of a drama queen. Not really about his brother since that is kind of a big deal for anyone but so often he takes little things and makes them life shattering.

The reasons I don't watch a lot of "reality" television (I watch only this and Amazing Race) are the use of editing to drive opinion and the need to cause drama to get screen time. It is easy to take hours and hours of footage and find things that either make a nice person look mean or a mean person look nice.

On Amazing Race for example the often will show someone in a cab "complaining" about foreigners not speaking English and they come across as the ugly American who expects everyone should speak English. In reality, they could have been trying their hardest to communicate in the native language and in a moment of frustration said that sarcastically. Same goes for the drama, Daris doesn't get screen time because he just puts his head down and gets the job done.

I think there has to be an alliance between Sam, Koli, Sunshine, and O'Neal. Sam mentioned that he was going to do what's best for himself. If he really thought Vicky was slacking off, you would keep her around because you figure she will be below the yellow line again and be voted off when it best suits them. Instead you keep the person Suze Orman thinks is going to win the entire thing.

My favorite right now is Daris, it could be because he is portrayed as more of the silent "dark horse" in the house.

I haven't watched the latest show yet but I was looking at the previews for next week on the NBC site and it looks like the makeover show still isnt set yet? :confused3 Hope it is the first week of May.

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: Anyone else catch this week's "Trainer Suggestion/ Blatant Product Placement"?

"Do you need something to eat?"

Ashley: "Yes"

"Well, here's some blah blah blah yogurt..."

I knew the "moment" was coming so I fast forwarded through it! :thumbsup2

As for the rest of the show...I'm rooting for Daris. I really like him, and I think he's got his head on his shoulders about the whole weight loss thing. He's so cute, too! :lovestruc

Watched on Weds night, like being able to FF thru the commercials. Oh and the "commercials" that are in the show (Yoplait Greek yogurt anyone?)

I think Vicky was at a disadvantage coming into the game so late. I hope she continues to do well, her mom certainly has.

O'Neal, well what can you say, the man is emotional as all get out.

The temptation-I was getting queasy watching Koli eat all that food.

Yep, patiently waiting for the makeover. Maybe when they get to 6:confused3

I didn't even recognize the woman! Man, she looks awesome! :thumbsup2 Just goes to show that the "older" ones can 1) succeed at home, and 2) can lose large amounts of weight on their own.

Just my opinion, but O'Neil and Sunshine are annoying to me. I realize this could be editing. I hope Daris wins it all. I like Sam also but I don't think he has enough left to lose.

I too like Sam and Koli. They are strong and seem to motivate everyone to do better/more. Daris, he is flying under the radar I think. He could win it all and I would love to see him do it. With only 2 girls left, I gotta think a guy is going to win this year. Sam is small, Daris is actually lighter, but Sam has more bulk (he is sporting some guns for sure!!).

Still looking forward to that makeover show.............

I also find ONeil & Sunshine annoying. Way to much crying from them.

Sam & Koli are a great team. I was really surprised that Victoria was so surprised when Koli voted her off and told her she wasn't working as hard as she could be. I think she does better at home without the stress of the gameplay in the house. She really looked good in the home reveal (and her mom too!)

I've seen it in two different places now -- the makeover show is May 4th! C'mon Daris, make it one more week!

O'Neal and Sunshine can leave anytime...and I have this funny feeling Ashley will make it into the Final Four...just a feeling, haven't read any spoilers!

I kind of saw O'Neal going this week. I did like him but wasn't surprised to see him go. He was a bit too into the drama for me but it wasn't really negative drama so I didn't mind it so much. I think Sunshine will be next to go and I really am not sure which 4 will be the final 4 once she is gone. I don't see Michael going so it will be down to a bad week for someone I think.

Emotional O'Neal goes home. He looks like he is doing well. It has to be harder for him with his knee issues, but I think he will do fine.

I understand that Sunshine was upset because her dad was going home, but it does help to break up the voting block of yellow and gray.

Go Daris, running a 5k in 21 minutes. The race was inspirational, watching that lady CJ who took 2 hours to finish. And that Sam and Koli went out to come in with her. You could see that they were affected by the people they met.

And that poor girl at the high school that Jillian talked to. My heart broke for her, but how brave she was to stand up in front of her entire school. I hope Jillian can do something to help her along (or Abby can).

Makeover week next week YEAH!!!! Cant wait to see how much hair Mike and Daris get rid of.

As for who is next to go, hmmm, that is tough. Daris is low as far as the boys, I don't know how much more he has to lose. And Sam is bulking up. I think Sunshine has a shot at being sent home, having to deal with her dad going home and not having as much to lose as Ashley.

Should be interesting.

Now I am off to Walgreens to buy any health products I may need. But you can check in with me via the BL app for my Blackberry.;):lmao:

I really liked the show yesterday. O'Neil going home may be a good thing for Sunshine. It could help break that codependency they seem to have. I wonder if Koli might have "threw" the weigh in because he had immunity. As far as final four, I can see almost any of them making it. Sam and Sunshine I think are going to have the toughest time. Even though Sam is still heavier then Daris, Sam seems to be developing a body builders body where Daris seems to be developing a runners body. Sunshine I think is also hitting the point where weight loss is going to slow down.

Yes the promo spots are really getting bad. They don't even try to make them blend in anymore. Walgreens anyone? I can't wait for the makeovers next week. Daris is my favorite and I want to see what they do with his hair.

I need a new toothbrush. I wonder where I could find one? :rotfl2:

That was almost shameful. And I think Koli is a bad actor, he totally threw the weigh in. But I do understand why, at this point.

I liked the 5K, I just hope they have some more support set up for those people. I know it's not the BL's responsibility, but it would be nice if they offered a little more than just the 90 pass to 24 Hour Fitness. Maybe a set of the books and dvds? That would be a really nice gesture. It was also good for me to see how long it took some people to finish the 5K. I tend to think of myself as very slow and with plenty to lose, but I am making progress! It's not as dramatic as the BL contestants, but if I look back to what I could do a year ago, I am getting healthier and I have definitely made changes in my life. I liked O'Neal's comment about inspiring even a little change, because for me, a little change was where I started. :goodvibes

I'm so glad O'Neal can tie his own shoes now! He genuinely seems very happy, and like this is a change that will stick for him.
