Biggest Loser show chit-chat

I too was pleased with the results last night. The cupcakes-what a joke. Why can't the challenge just be a challenge without the penalties? I respect those that did not eat any. But some one was an absolute HOG and ate 17. YUCK! Said person deserved to go home to his crazy wife! Did anyone else notice how little he lost at home? Only 9 pounds. What's up with that?

What was the product placement this week? Oh yeah, the Biggest Loser app for your phone! Let's all get that!! And some avocado, Extra Gum and a sandwich from Subway LOL:lmao:

Next week the kicked off contestants return for a chance to get back on the ranch. Will be interesting to see who makes it back.

And don't forget Sunshine right before they went home jumping n the Posturepedic mattress saying how much she would miss it while she was at home!

The 17-cupcake-eating's spouse was sure pushing him to eat more! She was almost cackling as she listed off who he needed to eat for!

I was wondering if Sunshine's comment about missing her bed (is it a Tempurpedic?) was product placement or just an honest comment. Sad that we can't take those things at face value now isn't it? I thought Sam's breakfast at home was legit until he whipped out his "available only through Verizon wireless" app.:rotfl2:

lol just saw your post Tigger! ;)

I recall a year ago when Tara finished the half-marathon(?) first, but didn't win the prize money because of the cookies some others had eaten against her time. At least the real winner knows he was truly the winner of the bike challenge, and the true 2nd-place finisher ended up winning the money. I wouldn't be surprised if the money winner shares with the time winner. :)

They are really not showing anything about Sam and Steph on the show, no looks or anything! I would never have guessed. Good for them. :)

Didn't Lance look MUCH better with that shrub trimmed down??!! That thing just creeped me out but I couldn't look away.

I liked how you could see Sam and Steph smile when they heard how the other was doing on the bike challenge. I think they make a darling couple!

And, yes, I also had a weird fascination with that funky growth on Lance's face! He looked fifteen years younger once he got rid of it!

Cackling was exactly what I thought, too!

I think you're right. The top two true finshers are two of my four favorite players, all of whom are still in play!

I had an email in my box this morning from the Biggest Loser saying an elimintaed player comes back . . . are they talking about Melissa or someone else? :confused3 I didn't see the previews last week so sorry if this is repeating something.

I think they might all get a chance to come back, but in the previews didn't it have Melissa cackling "I'm baaaack?" Does anyone remember that?

What I read was that someone comes back through a challenge, and another person is voted back. Should be interesting...

Please no, not the "Terror Texas Twosome!"

Maria :upsidedow

Yes, they definitely showed Melissa wearing her red shirt and walking onto what I thought was the weigh in stage. I hope they bring the rest back, too. I'm so curious about what their plan might be! I won't be able to watch until the rerun plays on Friday since Lost is on at the same time.

That was a subtle one! I didn't actually catch it!

The 17-cupcake-eating's spouse was sure pushing him to eat more! She was almost cackling as she listed off who he needed to eat for!

Sam's poor mom and sister having to look all insensitive and food-stupid so he could do a phone app commercial? They are sure good sports.

Regarding the challenge: "Seriously!!" Seriously???? How many times do these people say the word "Seriously?" Maybe I'm making too much of it, but it seems like it gets said a LOT this season. Seriously.

I found the bike race to be virtually unwatchable. I don't think that stationary bike race where you keep track of who is ahead via relatives on cell phones makes for the greatest TV, but that may just be me.

I think the "eat something to give someone else a penalty" is really a crummy way to do these challenges. I fyou are going to roll a temptation into a challenge, make it so that you shave a minute off your own time for every cupcake that you eat. I guess that's not something that would invite as much mean-spirited eating of junk.

I was super impressed once again with Sam and Koli who said that they went into it saying they wouldn't do the temptations and all of the others who also did not eat to bring others down.

I was glad that the winner was a non-cupcake eater, as well. And even more glad that the biggest cupcake eater (whose wife cackles like the Wicked Witch of the West) didn't win based on cupcakes. That would have been just wrong.

I agree that the pre-elimination chat was brief. They only talked on screen about one person before they went into elimination!!! I appreciated their decision.

It's nice that Lance finally dealt with his facial hair problem. Hopefully he can get his commercial diving job back and live happily ever after with his basement gym. Lucky he had that!

Speaking of which - amazing losses for a week at home. Even Michael with his family stress did pretty well. He does make it tougher for the blue team to get the %, but it's good they are keeping him there.

I didn't get to see all of the preview, but it will be interesting to see who comes back. I am going to go into it pulling for....The Blue Team!

I just have one more thing to say:

Can we PLEASE go to individuals soon???

Thank you, Michael! If you're watching now, you know what I mean!

As for the challenge going on right now......:scared1:

**Oh, crap!!!!

Ok, so maybe it is true about the romance!

Was not happy with tonight's episodes for the most part. There were a few positives but mostly I didn't like it! Just didn't like the outcomes! Still love the show!

I think the producers got exactly what they wanted. The house was too "nice" before the shake-down with eliminated players. For goodness sake, they voted in a completely unknown quantity who had been kicking booty at home because it was the right thing to do! And I'm really thrilled that they did. But I can just see them dreaming up ways of getting Melissa back in there because she's the only real troublemaker they had to work with, given that Migdalia was out. Sad but true, Melissa makes things 'interesting.'

I did not see all that stuff coming with Stephanie and the drama. She and Sam are a really cute couple.

Did anyone else think this:

"Oh, Victoria - you haven't done a product placement yet. You're up. Make a big thing of pasta."

Also, who stores pasta with sauce in baggies? What a mess!

I was so impressed with O'Neil and Sam on the scale. So refreshing to see people NOT beating themselves up.

This is my first year watching this show. I watched one episode pretty much by accident because it was on while I was doing something else but it peaked my curiosity.

I thought the message they sent last week that by eating garbage you can get ahead is a terrible message to send people who have at least some self control issues. While I think for the most part the show does a good job of showing people they can succeed if they try that kind of seems counter productive.

Since I have no previous season to compare it to I never caught onto the harmony/disharmony thing. The product placement is a bit obnoxious but I would take it over a commercial break any day.

I am hoping for Sam or his cousin. They both take everything seriously and at least it doesn't appear as though they are doing any game play kind of stuff. Again, being my first year I may miss the subtleties of it. I also like carrot top hair (as you can tell I am terrible with names). One week he can get an extra pound just my shaving his head. While I like O'Neal I think his immobility problems with his knee may make it hard for him to keep up with the weight loss.

Not to mention the fact that if you are going to the trouble of weighing/measuring your food portions, then measure them PROPERLY. She had stuff overflowing that 1 cup measure! Not setting a very good example. (Referring to the Bob/Victoria Ziploc bag "chat".)

I cannot STAND Melissa and I hope they kick her to the curb ASAP!! She doesn't have a real large percentage left to lose, so hopefully that will slow down her weight loss and she will fall below the yellow line immediately.

I must say, I was not at all impressed with the weight loss of John and James. Considering how big they are, their percentage should have been MUCH higher... and they were two of the bottom three. I'll be curious to see how well they have done by the finale. I am definitely rooting for them to do well and lose the weight and get healthy, but I'm not sure how hard they are trying.

I thought it was SO touching for them to vote for Victoria to come into the house. It definitely seemed like a "heart" move and not a strategy move. But I like that.

Sad to see Stephanie go. I'm not sure how much more Sam has to lose, so his weight loss will be slowing down probably and he will probably fall below the yellow line again soon. I really like him and would love for him to win, but I don't see that happening unles he drops to a dramatically low number.........P

I was happy they voted Victoria into the house. To have to pack your bags 3 times and then not even get to spend one night would be awful.

I agree that the producers are probably thrilled that Melissa is back, as she's the obvious drama creator.

I like Sam, and think he may make it quite a ways, as he is a motivator for others and yet doesn't have too much left to use so may not seem to be a threat.

When is the make-over episode? I want to see what they do to Daris?
Lance looked so much better with his hair and beard thingy trimmed up.

DD said to me " Can we mute the TV when Melissa talks, I can't take her!" :lmao: Yes drama helps, but I really can't stand her. Reminds me of Icky Vicky from a few seasons ago...........

Nice of them to take Victoria back in to the house. I really think this group is not as focused on game play as other groups have been.

I agree about John and James, they should have dropped much more since they have so much to lose. But who knows what will happen by finale.

Yes Victoria has been baptized in product placement ads. And yeah, really, who puts food like that in a ziploc bag? Had they done ziploc containers, I could see it. And it was more than a cup for sure.

I like that we are at individuals now, makes it more interesting. I wonder if they are going to do another red line/yellow line weigh in to get rid of 2 players in one episode? And I too cannot wait until the makeover episode and they do something with the hair on Daris.

I was surprised that Koli was so distrustful of Stephanie - given her relationship with Sam. I had liked Stephanie a lot - until she complained about Victoria and Melissa being back at the ranch. I can see her point about Melissa, but Victoria never spent more than 1 day at a time (twice) at the ranch.

Now that we were so glad to see Lance go home last week, I'd take him back in a heartbeat if Melissa would go! :lmao:

Perhaps there is some jealousy for Koli when it comes to sharing Sam?
Or perhaps the Sam/Stephanie thing is just starting, and Koli thinks she is doing it for game play and not for real?
