Biggest Loser show chit-chat

Gee, wonder who the new sponsor of Bl is...?;)
:lmao:

We just watched this episode last night - from the previews of next week, is Red mom going to sandbag again or quit???

I like the Migs - I think they are survivors, and they've had tough lives and are fighting their way through. I hope they open up and realize that it's not just food and lifestyle that got them to overweight. DH doesn't like them, but for some reason I do. Of course I could be way off and they could be zillionaires living in luxury!

I think the Red mom is going to lose big next week because she has sand bagged these last two weeks. She is not my favorite, I kinda like Pink and Orange, don't know why. Ha

I don't know what is up with red team, but she is starting to remind me of Vickie and Tracey from seasons past. :scared1:

The green team, well, if they don't address the psychological issues, the weight will only come back on later. I know Jillian can be very in your face about it, but isn't that how she gets people to realize where their problems stem from?

I really don't have a favorite yet, I like orange and black so far, they seem like "real" people.

Tuesday night should be interesting!!

I agree, I like orange pretty well and black seems ok...we will see how the weeks play out!

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm feeling a strong urge to go to Walgreens. Did you know they had ice packs there??? It's a shocker!!!:scared1:

I seriously thought Jillian was going to get decked by Migdalia! Glad it didn't come to that, obviously.

I am so excited to see Yellow team return. When they were going into the fitness center, I said "OMG, I think that's the lifetime in our town!!" Maybe there are several that look like that, but it is VERY familiar. And then I got my hair cut this morning and the stylist said one of the girls she works with knows the Yellow Team. And apparently they can't see anyone until the finale??? I don't know how you get your workouts in or do your job if that is the case.

I thought the temptation this week was dumb. They really didn't need those troughs of candies if all they were offering was assigning students and teachers. I wonder what will happen when the teams form a coalition and say "Look, when it comes to these reassignment challenges, nobody play. It ticks everyone off and no good comes of it." What happens when nobody plays??? What would they even do? Would they even show it, I wonder? Even the pink team realized they didn't want that resposibility when they got it.

And Mike on the white team. I can't figure it out - seemed like he was doing great, now, not so much. That thing with untangling the ribbons in the playground - a very weird challenge - but he sure went insane with it. I hope he shows a little more spirit next week. He's going to need it. And apparently, not working hard enough gets you enemies in this house! I like the Gray team so far. They're handsome and they seem to have integrity. :thumbsup2

That's the same thing dd said - that Red is like Vickie!!

The Migs need to accept that they have a problem and I think Jillian did a great job...she was sooooooo sincere and caring! I was really impressed with her, and with her and Bob's teamwork. They seem to be a true team. I hope the Migs open up.

I thought Migdalia was going to hit her too!!! Wow!

I was also glad to see the Yellow team, I have to say although I reallyl really like Blue too, I hope Yellow makes it back. I'm actually hoping for a twist that will let them both stay. They are my 2 favorite teams and they both got booted! They seem to have so much heart.

Mike - I know what the heck is up with him? But that's probably how he got where he is (and how rude of Red to say "that's why he weighs 530 pounds" or whatever - did anyone else think that was rude?! She's in no position to say anything!), he can't stick to it. It's hard hard work and I'm sure it gets old.

When Red was on the scale and saying she wasn't a liar, did anyone catch her saying "no I didn't burn anywhere near 6000 calories/day." Ummmm...why not? That's why you're hear, that's YOUR JOB while you're here! Boot her and bring back Blue or Yellow!

Gray - they are dh's favorites. Hard workers, straight shooters, no excuses and they own what they do. :thumbsup2

And they're available at any location! So very convenient!

Ok tonight was high drama, lots of cussing by lots of characters. I won't spoil it for any west coasters or anyone who hasn't seen it but all I can say is

ATTITUDE!!! (and not good ones either)

Think I know how next week is gonna go:rolleyes::rolleyes1

Totally off topic here, but I have a question for you guys: I keep having to throw all this great fresh food away because it spoils so fast. Does anyone know what I might use to help keep my food fresher longer?

:rotfl: If only they would mention something on the show about a product that would help you with this! :lmao:

People I know have used those Debbie Meyer green bags with success. I guess it depends on the food. I have learned to buy less and shop for fresh stuff more often rather than throw it out. A pain in the butt sometimes, but at least I have what I need and its edible!

Good luck!

Thank you for the suggestion, Vern, but I was just being a smart aleck, because of the ridiculous product placement on the last BL.

But I do use those bags for my bread. :thumbsup2 It makes it last a lot longer than it would otherwise. I just take the whole loaf out when I get home from the store and pop it in the green bag.

That green team is starting to rub me the wrong way. They have such a huge chip on their shoulders, like the whole world is against them. And Migdalia just quitting like that? I can't believe her mom didn't try to convince her to stay.

And boy is the red team going to be sorry they voted for Miggy! I'm sure she'll make them pay all week. And do it with an attitude to the whole house, too.

I don't really like green team and the mom has spent too much time teaching her daughter to "be strong" instead of dealing with things.

The red team is strange, sometimes I like them. Sometimes I just think she's a nutcase. The bit where they were sitting in bed and she tells him she wants to continue working with Jillian and she was way too happy at that point.

I did like the reward challenge and how red and grey were really giving it all to get there. I thought grey were classy guys in how they picked who to give the phone calls too. It must be much nicer to give out the good stuff instead of the bad stuff.

I thought the red team did ok handing out the bad stuff, and giving someone the 2 lb disadvantage was going to make someone angry no matter what, so giving it to the green team seemed reasonable to me. If I'm stuck making someone angry, may as well pick the ones that are angry most of the time already.

I think they have an Alliance.

Ya know disney mommy, I was thinking you were being funny, but it was early in the morning and I was not yet fully caffeinated:surfweb:

Okay, green team, they have SERIOUS issues. Their body language and attitudes are not going to get them anywhere. I like that Migdalia addressed some of that at the end. So does anyone else see Miggy throwing next weeks weigh in so that she can go home too? But the preview made it seem too like someone gets hurt/injured and maybe they go home because they have to??

I do like the gray team a lot and orange. Be interesting when they go to blue/black teams.

Finally I got to watch BL! & read what you all have said about it!

I really like the gray team. They seem to have a lot of integrity. I love how close they are to their parents (spoken as a parent!)

Green team- wowee! I was wondering what was going to happen if Miggy got voted off! A fight?

I can't wait to see how the blue & yellow teams did next week!

I'm not sure what to think about the red team. I believe Bob & Jillian, and I saw her smirk on the scale last week, just a little slip, which led me to believe she threw the weigh-in. I can't believe how hard they fought for it though. She really reminds me of Vickie! Except Vickie was pretty blatant about game playing. She didn't play all innocent.

I couldn't believe Jillian did another Ziploc placement. They must really force her. I wish Glad was the sponser, at least then she could sincerely get behind it.

Just finished watching this week's episode. DS thinks that Melissa gives lawyers a bad name! :lmao: (This coming from a kid whose parents are lawyers. ;))

Obviously someone had a medical emergency from the previews but I am betting that the reason there is no elimination next week is that one of the single member team folks falls below the yellow line. The question is who? :confused3

I was glad to see Michael have a good week but feel like he needs to learn that he might be the one with the problem and not everyone else . . .

Other than Ron, has there ever been a male manipulator? I can only remember ladies...I'm just glad every week we don't hear them say ad nauseum "Blank needs to be here". You all need to be there, and so do I! But you are there, so you should do your best to stay as long as you can. If you don't, I don't care if it is a personal sacrifice, you are not doing your best.

I know those are harsh words, I guess I'm just feeling like you should fight for it if you realize it is important for you. I think I like the individuals better, when they aren't taking care of their relative or best bud.

Maria :upsidedow

I remember Neil was the first I can recall that really "threw" a weigh in. Remember he drank like 2 gallons of water before the weigh in to gain like 10 pounds or something?

I agree there are a lot of people who deserve to be there, but if you were fortunate enough to be chosen to be there, wouldn't you fight tooth and nail to stay? Do everything and more that Bob and Jill asked of you? I know I would.

I think there will be no elimination because one of the single members will fall below. I seriously think it will be Miggy. She doesn't want to be there either and her head is not in it.

I hope that whomever has the medical emergency is okay and its nothing serious.
