Biggest Loser Show Chit Chat Thread

Everything shows live on our slingbox at the same time as it is showing in EST in the US.

So for BL, it comes on at 8:00pm EST and 2:00am Central European Time.
We use our DVR to tape any prime time shows since we aren't up during that time. It seems like we get everything later since we can't watch it until later!

But, when do you get BL on the west coast? It can't come on at 11:00 pm there????? Does it also come on at 8:00 there?

Shawnprincess:

:wave2: Hi Shawn! Happy Birthday! :bday:

BL starts at 8 pm for us PST folks. I don't know for sure because I never watch it until the next day on the DVR or internet! :rotfl:

I'm wondering what is going to happen to "The Family" folks when they have to start voting off their own folks. It's going to happen sooner or later! :confused3

Don't know why I've never thought about East Coast - West Coast TV before. So you can definitely have some spoilers.....someone from the East Coast could call and tell you what's going to happen...on ANY show! Like, the Super Bowl! Hmmmmm, I must be really naive, I have NEVER thought about this before. I guess it happens across all the US time zones, wild, my brain is going crazy thinking about this:upsidedow

I guess Jen will be next for the Red Team unless she can get immunity somehow and then it WILL be interesting to see who goes after that. Can't remember his name but Rulon's buddy irritates me for some reason. He comes across as a know-it-all to me.

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes, Lisa:banana::banana::banana:
I love it!!!

For most shows you could call me with a spoiler but for live shows we see them at the same time -- just start earlier. I just don't watch that much tv so it's not an issue for me! :rotfl:

I think Jen will be going next on the red team, too. Don't know who might go on black since Arthur redeemed himself.

Justin is Rulon's buddy. He say's he's an old cowboy but he just seems like an angry, aggressive guy to me. :confused3

I don't know when I will be able to watch this week's show since I am travelling tomorrow. princess: I'll have to try and check the website from my phone or check our your email updates from the thread so please take pity on me and spill if anything good happens!

Ah, man! Who went home this week? Please don't make me leave the WDW/Disboards bubble and check the NBC site! :rotfl:princess:

Hey Buddy!

Deni was under the red line and Jesse was voted off. The parents sacrificed for the kids. It was really sweet.

Rock the Princess girlfriend!!!

I know I was half-dazed when I watched it, still recovering from the Princess -- but I agree it was kind of sad. But kind of not -- I mean, Arthur did this to himself when he set up his team to have sacrificial lambs and he started the "bad will", so I don't have a lot of sympathy. Plus, they all need to be there. He might seem to need it more, but then he should have acted more like it and embraced it from the beginning. He let weeks go by without really trying. I don't think he did any of the mental work he needed to do before he started the show. I know that people have to have breakthroughs at their own rates, but I think he stayed longer than he otherwise would have because he is so big -- and people didn't vote him off for that reason despite his poor performance and attitude.

I'm glad he seems to really be getting it together now, hopefully some previous contestants will reach out to him and help him go the distance!

Arthur, Arthur, Arthur. You played the game and as they say, Karma is a b!#ch. I saw Bob's blog post about how disappointed he and Jillian were that Arthur got sent home. But they TOTALLY downplayed the fact that he was "playing the game" instead of worrying about his weight loss and doing what he needed to do to stay there.

The all girl black team, WOW what a weigh in they had! Double digits for everyone. I don't know how that will translate next week when its all girls against a team of 5 boys and 1 girl.

Last weeks show was a little sad but I agree with everyone else. Arthur started playing the game too early and got burnt. I watched this weeks show and I felt the black team was too hard on themselves. They had a wonderful week last week, it was expected that this week would be down. Red did horribly at home and had a good week this week. That's one down side of the show. It focuses too much on what you have lately. Especially when it comes to singles, you don't want a stellar week, it just sets you up for a bag week the next. Consistant moderate weight loss seems to get you further in the game over alternating between good week and bad week (unless your in an alliance).

Whew! Finally caught up with the last 3 weeks shows.

It was heartwarming but not surprising that the parents would be sacrificing for children. I did think it was funny a few weeks ago when Q was begging to keep him let his wife go first -- apparently not everyone is willing to sacrifice for family. :rolleyes1

I wasn't surprised to see Arthur go as a result of game playing. He did need to be there but he'd lost a lot before he got there so he is obviously capable of doing things at home.

I'm sure Marci will sacrifice herself if the black team loses again but who is the red team going to get rid of? Kailee?

Looks like there may not be an elimination next week. Seems like there is still a long ways to go before the finale.

This season does continue to be more interesting than the last. :hippie:

Just caught up last night. I think there's a pregnancy going on right now! I felt bad for the "cooks" for the week -- I think that was really tough, and not exactly fair. I know Olivia kept saying that's what Mom's have to do -- but that's just not true unless you have a toddler or no other responsible adult or older children in the house. Even a preschooler can get themselves precut fruit from the refrigerator (trust me, I know). It is harder when you are a mom, but not as impossible as they were making it! (ok, probably should be taken with a grain of salt since my dh is our cook, but still -- he's managing to train for a Full marathon and also cook all our meals and pre-cut our fruit and veggie snacks, so it doesn't have to be that hard -- he's not on duty all day to cater to our needs!)

::yes:: I think that you are correct, Maria.

Haven't watched the whole show but I know who went home. I saw the preview video, too. I have to say that I am surprised because my thoughts on who will be in the final four will have to change. Haven't seen the drama with the weigh in yet -- guess the whole red team/black team drama was fizzling out so we needed some new drama. I do wish Cara had something else in her bag of tricks besides hitting and fighting but maybe that's just 'cause that is so not my thing. :rotfl:

Who do you think is pregnant?

I don't know who Maria thinks is pregnant but I think it is Sarah because they talked about her being ready for the next phase of her life or something at the finale.

Can I just say that the Pochahontas look at weigh in didn't really look flattering on anyone? :confused3 And Kailie didn't join the crowd because she wanted to go home? I feel sorry for the folks who are coming in next week.

Hi all. I can fairly well say that Sarah was not pregnant when she left the ranch. On Saturday she was at the BL 5K at fitness ridge that a person on another forum I post to ran. She definitely does not look pregnant in the pictures from yesterday.

I'm also not sure about Cara and Brett long term either. The MMA stuff is good but as part of an overall plan. Bob especially seems to be good at mixing up the workouts with running, spin, boxing, weights, etc.

So much for that theory about Sarah then! :lmao:

No one has anything to say about this week's show?!? I have to say it is an interesting twist making trainers go home if your contestant doesn't do well! :rolleyes1

I just finally watched last night. Did you see how shocked Bob and Jillian looked? I had the feeling they had mortgages they were concerned about :rotfl:

I didn't think Sarah was pregnant when she left (I thought it might be a "welcome home baby").

Very disappointed in who was eliminated, but it is a game, not a guarantee...

::yes:: I don't think they were acting when they looked like this :scared1:. There really isn't much buzz online about it so I'm guessing that Brett will be back next year as well as at the finale. He was being very positive on his Facebook page.

I did think that by the time that Sarah did her where are they now that she might be pregnant but apparently that theory doesn't fly. Oh well, as the mother of a pre-teen I am used to being wrong. :lmao:

Courtney did well at home before she hit the ranch so I think that she will be fine.

Hope nobody minds that I figure by Friday we can name names in this thread. :flower3:
