I might have to steal these tips for my long run this saturday...five miles!

It's my longest run so far, and I think its more mentally intimidating than anything. The ToT race is 10 miles and knowing that's half the distance is big! I'm assuming you stop and eat your Luna bar, right? Please forgive the silly question, but I am totally new to running. And yes, my first race as any kind of runner is a 10miler...go big or go home
Well- today was my first day back running after a week off. Not a planned week off, I was just lazy. So I went to the treadmill and did my 35 minutes and was happily surprised to see that in the same amount of time as week before last, I was able to tack on another quarter of a mile!

I don't know if that's because I'm well-rested from a week off, or I'm just getting that good...but I am certainly feeling better from my runs. I am a little concerned about my pacing- I'm at about 15min/mile. It worries me a teensy bit, but I'm also well aware of the fact that I have another three months to work on this, and I can only get better. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
