Good morning Purple Team!

I did not do well last week :sad2: I did not lose...but I did not gain! I know what I did wrong and I'm going to start over and hopefully have a week as good as my first one again.

Last weeks mistakes:
I cooked comfort food! And I ate a second serving of it not only the first time but also when I served it as leftovers! NO MORE POT ROAST FOR ME!

I took older DD shopping with me...and let her talk me into buying chips. I wasn't PLANNING on eating any.......No MORE CHIPS IN THE HOUSE!

I slacked off on water drinking.....I WILL DRINK TILL I FLOAT THIS WEEK!

I had coffee, with CREAM! Thats the only way I like it, so...NO MORE COFFEE!

I did make a lot of good choices too and I've been power walking each night so I guess that saved me from gaining. I'm well stocked with chicken breast and lots of fresh veggies so this week IS going to be better.

SO....How is everyone else doing?
 
Congrats Tinkamom on just staying even. I did not. I gained 2.5 back. I also know what I did wrong and will also correct it

I did not work out as much as I should have. I got lazy and I also have congestion in my throat so that is not helping any.

I also did not watch what I ate as carefully as I should have and that has changed since Monday.

I also ate a couple of times because I was upset about a couple of people I work with my son's scout troop. I think I need to tell them off to feel better. Maybe tonight.

I hope everyone else has had a better week.

I know that this week will be better for all of us.

Keep up the hard work
 
Good Morning Purple Team!!

Well I have recovered from my awful week and lost 3.5 pounds SO.....I am down another .5 pounds total since I had gained 3 last week. Of course since that 3 pounds counted against us the whole 3.5 counts for us (If I'm understanding correctly the way we are calculating our totals) And I'm off to a good start for this week too. I didn't make it to the gym last night because we had to return a mattress to Sams (we bought it a week ago and with the weather, etc hadn't returned it and I really didnt' want to go any longer with it) Did you guys know that a twin size mattress should be 39X75 but they are all almost smaller?? The one we returned was 36X73 and the bed dwarfed it....of course we went to a furniture store and they were ALL smaller than the official 39X75. We got DD a captain's bed and the twin mattresses are all too small. It currently has slats so we're going to have to add a platform on top of the slats because the mattress isn't big enough and I'm afraid of her getting hurt if we don't. It's just nuts. Anyway....hope everyone has a great weigh-in!

tinkamom & donac - you may not have seen the results you wanted to this week - but you know where you need to make improvements and you will see them next week. Good Luck!!

CONGRATS WDWorBUST on the 3.5lbs this week!!! That is AWESOME, and yes it does count for the whole team....

tinkamom congrats on staying the same and realizing the mistakes you made, and weigh to go for correcting them... I also have no loss for this week, I made a couple of bad choices and have def. slacked on my water, so we will be floating together this week!!!

donac I know what you mean about the stress!!! Sometimes you do have to get it off your chest to feel better...SO GO FOR IT!!! :stir:

OK I will post our losses when I get home!!!

I promise this week will be a good one...I am going to go shopping and really focus this week...and when I went to the gym this morning I talked to one of the trainiers and I think I am going to start training next week, so I hope to see BIG changes in my body!!! WOOHOO :woohoo:

Thanks to disneyfanz04 for inviting me to join your group on this late date. Better late than never I guess!! I was just in Disney with free dining and I didn't think I should join this challenge since I was going to be gone for 16 days (only 10 of those in Disney). But now that I'm back, I'm ready to go and lose some weight and meet some great people along the way! I look forward to getting to know all of you.

I want to lose another 20lbs or so (I've lost close to 40 since June). I'm not on a specific diet, rather, I'm just watching my portions, making healthier choices and doing lots of exercise. My husband is really into physical fitness so that is a BIG help. I'm hoping by joining this challenge, it will help me maintain that motivation.

Question: I was wondering when do I post my progress for the week? I just want to make sure I'm following protocol!

Welcome to the team CJK!! Someone correct me if I'm wrong but our week runs with the Biggest Loser show so we report our week's progress on Wednesday - we do have a few people that do WW that report in on Thursday - but overall it's Wednesday. So you jumped in at the perfect time!

Okay, here we are another week gone by. I've only lost 1 more pound, this gives me a total of 7 pounds so far.
I was away on business last week and just did not get my exercise in, not a good excuse I know...so its back to the treadmill and my walk away the pounds tapes. I really need to get my walking up to speed since my Disney vacation is only a month and a half away.

HelenK I wish I was only a month and a half away from DW but I am now a month and a half since I have been there. Yes it is a good idea to get some extra walking in now. I was only there for 4 days but we did a great deal of walking (spent almost as much time shopping as I did walking since it was only my sister and I. No kids to say I want this and I want that. I bought them things but I bought myself some great things.)

Congrats to all those who lost or stayed even this week. I had a pretty good day and I am just getting a cup of tea and going off to a meeting.

I had a great day...I went to the gym this morning and did 45 minutes of cardio, and I had a pretty good day of eating too...

HI PURPLE TEAM!!! :wave: Thank you for inviting me to join in on this journey with you. I am very excited! Ok here is a little about me (I'll try to make this short)...

My name is Jessi and I just turned 28 in the begining of this month. I have been married to my wonderful dh for 7 years! We have 3 kids dd9, ds6, and dd3. :crazy: I also just opened a Daycare that I run out of my house. My highest weight ever was about 2 years ago at 206lbs... Last October I hit my 30 lb mark just by eating right and exercising. But I also reached some sort of plateau... I just couldn't get my weight to budge. SO I heard about this Marathon Weekend at WDW and dh and I decided we would sign up and train for the half marathon to get me my motivation back. Dh doesn't have an ounce of fat on him but he wanted to do this with me. Now I have never even run 1 mile without stopping... I'm not quite sure what made me think that I could run over 13!! All I knew was that this was my ticket back to Disney before we had planned on returning. And we are going without our kids for 4 whole days. Yhat's my REAL motivation! :rolleyes1 ...but shhhh don't tell dh that! :teeth: So I have been running off and on... right now my treadmill is in pieces all over my bedroom and I think we are just going to buy a new one but haven't had a chance to go shopping yet. We usually run on the trail near my house but it has been getting too dark too early that we are running out of time. I haven't lost weight running but I have noticed my legs are losing there lovely cellulite pouches and toning up! Oh and I guess I should mention that I joined WW almost 4 weeks ago. I am happy to say that it finally has my weight moving in the right direction again and I am down to 168 as of yesterday morning. :yay: Although 'Aunt Flo' popped in yesterday so who knows what the scale will do now... :rolleyes:

Thanks again for inviting me to join in... I was really WISHing to be on the PURPLE TEAM... you guys seem like such a great group.
I will try to check in later... I have to go get ready for my DC kids to get here... we are going on a field trip today to the pumpkin patch. I am a little nervous taking 5 kids between the ages of 2 and 3 but it should be fun!

Oh and I couldn't help but notice that one of our team mates lives in Pottstown! :wave2: Hi Neighbor!! I live in Schwenksville!

CJK- I walk 1.5-2.0 miles everynight and call it "Training for WDW!" I hope to build it up to at least 4 miles by spring so I'll be ready for our next trip. I'm hoping I lose enough weight before we go so I could buy myself the adorable baby tee I saw at MGM last May!

Sorry for the delay, but there has been a great deal going on at work which has left me pretty wiped out by the end of the day. The good news is that with all of the running around at work (the building I work in is huge) and my gym workouts, I have lost 2.5 pounds this week...

I am thrilled as it is a pound over the 1.5 pound gain from last week... Whoo hoo!!!

Good Morning PURPLE Team!!

How's everyone doing this morning?? I'm great!! I started out my new week last night at the gym and watched Biggest Loser and walked 3 miles. I hated to see Amy go, but I had a feeling she was the one that was going to. But - look at her now....she's continued on and lost 88 pounds total with only 12 to go to her goal. She's definitely still a winner even if she isn't "THE" Biggest Loser. Tonight I will be back at the gym walking my tushie off watching Grey's Anatomy. This is one case where multi-tasking is working for me. I watch those two shows anyway - so I might as well be on the treadmill walking to a healthier me than sitting on my couch getting irritated because DD and DH will not be quiet for even 2 seconds while I'm trying to watch. I'm not a big TV watcher - but it's ya'lls fault that I'm hooked on Biggest Loser - before that I was only a Grey's Anatomy watcher :rotfl: Of course I'm also going with my friend and that was nice. Of course we only talked during the commercials. I told DH that Monday and Tuesday can be talking night! We did go out to dinner last night and I probably didn't make the wisest choices, HOWEVER....I'm working towards eating out and not eating everything because portion sizes are just too large even if it's healthy food. So I did leave some left on my plate which I have a hard time "wasting" money like that....but I've decided it's definitely not a waste if it's helping me get control of my weight. If we go out to eat (Other than Subway) we do it on Wednesday night so I have all week to work it off before the next weigh in.

WDWorBUST What a great way to start the week--at the gym!!! I know when I don't really feel like going and I force myself to go, I feel FANTASTIC afterwards!!!! I will be there tonight as well, watching Ugly Betty & Grey's Anatomy.

I already went to the gym this morning and did 45 minutes of cardio, and then I will go again tonight to do our traning for the marathon!!! I really want to focus again on getting in my water, I seem to have forgotten about drinking, and I really don't know why??? Oh well, I have gotten 20oz in already today and I am going to shoot for 100oz a day.

Did anyone else cry at Biggest Loser last night? When I saw how Amy had lost 88lbs, I just dissolved into tears of joy for her. Not only does she look fabulous, her confidence and joy just radiated from her. Talk about inspiring!!

I just did an aerobics tape complete with ab work. After the tape, I did some free weights. Today was supposed to be Taebo, but since coming back from Disney, I just can't seem to bring myself to get back to my regular routine. But then, it's probably good that I'm doing something different rather than giving up completely.

I had lunch with one of my health nut friends yesterday. I never worry about where we go, because she always selects healthy restaurants. Well, imagine my surprise when my curry chicken was put in front of me on a GIGANTIC pile of FRIED rice. :eek: I was shocked b/c I was expecting steamed rice. I was disappointed with my selection, but made do and just ate a little bit and took the rest home (which dh had for dinner). Tonight I'm going out with my regular women's group for dinner. Thankfully I was able to choose the restaurant this time, so hopefully I can stick with a healthy meal.

Good afternoon everyone! Still stuck at bloody 209 here. The scale wont budge!!! ARGH!!

I went hiking today with DGD3. She did pretty good, she walked and sometimes ran the entire 1.5 miles to the beach! I had to carry her some of the way back though! But that only means I burned more calories! (Next time I think I'll take the stroller!)

So I got 3 miles in already today! I wish I could join a gym but until I can I will just keep walking.
