QOTD for Saturday, 3/24: Aladdin's Genie has granted you one WISH that you have to use on your health. What is one thing that you would like to change immediately, without needing weeks to make it a habit?
I would like to easily drink 64+ oz of water throughout the day.
I would like the ability to only eat when I am hungry. Not bored, stressed, happy, or sad. The emotional eating is definitely a big downfall for me.
Happy Saturday morning to all! I'm just popping in to say HELLO and let you all know that I made the move successfully!
Super crazy week, so I haven't been around in a few days, but I'm going to play catch up on here today!
DD swam at Harvard last night for Y New Englands and ended her season with two personal best times..... and both were times she had been trying HARD to get to. And her 400 free relay broke their team record last night! It was an absolutely WONDERFUL way to end the season for her! And of course, we ended the night with a traditional visit to a burrito shop in Harvard Square close to midnight. The kids had so much fun. It was a beautiful night, weather-wise and a fun walk to the shop.
Time to pour some coffee (slept in a bit, as we got home near 3 am!) and start catching up on what I've missed here!.................P
Glad to see you here!! Figured it was a busy week if you weren't posting. Congrats to dd. SHe must be ecstatic. So happy for her. You both must be beat. 3 am for her though is probably much easier than for you.

It has been such a gorgeous week. We've been thoroughly enjoying this weather, too, and it probably helped with my loss this week.
Healthy Habits Week 13: Carousel of Progress
In honor of merging threads, I thought we could focus on how far we have come in the last 12 weeks.
This weeks 4 Habits are:
1. The family showcased in CoP didn't have a refrigerator at one point, but they did drink water. Drink a total of 64 oz. of water during the day. You can count up to 8 oz. of tea or coffee toward your total for the day.
2. We get to see exercise equipment from decades ago. I'm not sure how ell it worked, but we do know the value of exercise. Exercise daily. The goal is purposeful movement that burns calories, not a specific minimum amount of time.
3. In the final scene, we see the family cooking Christmas dinner. While the protein burns, the meal itself appears to be healthy and in particular, a good source of protein. Eat 2 servings of protein per day.
4. One of the things I noticed from watching the family go through time is that people have different ideas of how to reach their goals. This week, think about your goals and each day, do something YOU think/know will help you reach one or all of them. Examples: Journal your food, have a glass of milk, save your spare change. Note: Exercising and eating protein do not count.
Mini-Challenges
1. [Reflect on Your Progress: Think about what has worked and what hasn't worked. Think about who is helping you and who is not. Consider where you are now, where you were, and where you want to be.
2. A Good Way to Make Progress: Make 1 of your workouts (or part of one of your workouts) strength training.
Note: This week will go from Saturday to Thursday as this was posted late.
It's a great big beautiful tomorrow.... Love COP. awesome hh this week, CC.

So sorry to hear about your godfather. I hope last night and today goes as well as it can, and you and your family are able to have a beautiful celebration of his life with a lot of love, some tears, and some smiles, too.
Woo hoo we're together again!

It always seems like a fresh start when we come together on the merged thread. Who doesn't like a fresh start?
I am Lisa. I'm married and have wonderful DS who is 12. I'm 51 and an attorney. I'm a veteran of many BL challenges and the Biggest Loser the last challenge.

Recently I just hit that wonderful place known as ONE-derland for the first time in 20 years!

My goal is to lose 11 more pounds before the end of this challenge to take myself out of the obese category forever. Then it's on to my goal and to be a maintainer before 2013.

Thanks to the BL Challenges I've made lifelong friends and started running, something that I never, ever would have dreamed of doing.
BRB I'm always getting in trouble with the smilie police!
I love a fresh start! But now that we're together, I need to remember if I quote you, I'll be in trouble with the smilie police too.

Love your smiley posts though!!
I have no doubt you will be overweight before you know it, and at goal weight this year. You have been so on track, and successful, and it will continue. Remember, I'm following you, and need your inspiration.
You can come on the deck and have coffee with me . . . it's in the 30's and snowing here.

Sounds lovely. NOT!
to Run the Donald 1/2 with my WISH peeps in January.
Hey, Buffy!! Great to see this goal for you!! It looks like such an amazing weekend, and I'm hoping I will be there, at least to cheer you all on. You are going to be fabulous at 40!!
Good morning, Losers!!
It's a little chilly here today. I'm going to have a hard adjustment back to the reality of march weather.
I've had a productive morning so far. I'm on call, and my cousin from AZ is coming this weekend, and since i wasn't sure if she'd be here today or tomorrow I did a lot of cleaning, changed the beds, scrubbed the bathroom, and just heard from her and she's not coming til tomorrow, so I have nothing else on the agenda, and a clean house to boot.

Of course the phone could ring and change that, but I'm hoping not.
Tomorrow we'll all go to my brothers for a bbq/lobster feed, and it was bringing back memories. These same cousins came a few years ago for the lobster feed right after I had started back on ww and was really focused, and I did so well, had my points calculator in my pocket, enjoyed a lobster with 1 tbsp of butter, and stuck with the healthy sides, and totally stayed on plan. So tomorrow I am going to do that again. I'm bringing a garden and fruit salad, and we're going to get the lobster already cooked, so I'll volunteer to make that trip, so I won't have a drink til after, plus we'll leave the dog home, so I'll get her out for a long run/walk in the morning so she'll be good and tired out. Focus, I just need to maintain my focus, and keep my eye on the prize, seeing a 1 on that scale.
It's nice to be all back together again. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!!!
