Biggest Loser 9 Spring challenge -- Part 2! HERE WE ARE! :)

Good morning! Down 1lb. I'm happy considering this week was a little stressful. I ran with dh last night and did the elliptical and group strength this morning. The run was hard--it was warm and the sun was really bright! I'm sure it will get easier as I get used to the heat. I have been on the treadmill all winter, so being outside is different. I do enjoy running with dh--he is very supportive.:goodvibes

I had the echocardiogram this morning. It was really interesting. She said she saw nothing to be worried about, but the cardiologist would read it and give me a call.

Tracey--congrats on the new low and the new clothes. So exciting!

Shannon--great dress. You look fabulous!

Corrinna--glad you're hanging in there. Hope the kids are enjoying the new school.

Maria--good luck with the weekend. Sending good thoughts your way for a stress free visit.:goodvibes

happysmyly--hope your dh does great on his interview!

QotD--I plan my workouts for the week on Sunday, so I usually already have the weekend planned out. I relax a little with the food on the weekend, but not too much. I have found if I splurge just a little bit on Friday night and Saturday, by Sunday I am motivated and ready to go for the next week. I usually do at least 90 minutes of cardio on Saturday, and now dh and I are running on Sunday mornings, so it makes it easier to splurge.

I can't believe there's only 3 weeks left! Too exciting.
Hope everyone has a great day and a great weekend! It's Derby here, so lots of excitement around town!

Down 2lbs this week (to 204lbs) and its killing me!! I just want to be in the 100s again already!! Not feeling well today at all, I think I really need this cheat day...

Things have been crazy busy at work and at home the last couple of days. Having to adjust to having my department downsized, but so far I'm having some success moving a few tasks out of my department to reduce the workload. :cool1: and had some good times with my girls yesterday as they were working on learning to ride their bikes :goodvibes

I take garlic when I'm not feeling well, although now I'm trying to just cook with more garlic instead. I will take a multivitamin occasionally, but I usually forget it.

Right now, my favourite is the dress I bought for my cruise in March. Its my favourite colour, has some good "spin factor:
114014.jpg

Its a modern, grownup version of my prom dress from 20 years ago!
194538.jpg

(I made the little lacy gloves and the earrings, which all lasted for the one night and then fell apart :lmao:)

The dreses are beautiful and you look marvelous dahling...BTW I just bought a huge thing of crushed garlic at Costco-- great flavor option-- healthier than salt or butter :-) (makes healthy stuff tasted good)

Back from shopping! I LOVED IT for the first time in years! I had to buy smalls and size 8s!!!!!! I wanted to cry I was so excited! I bought a pair of denim capris, a pair of cotton drawstring capris, 3 pair of drawstring shorts and 2 tops! One of the tops is the prettiest color green I've ever seen! I can't wait to wear it! All that came to $75 so I was psyched!

Off to celebrate with something special for lunch! Giving a massage at 2 and then picking up DD2 and waiting for DD1 to get off the bus and then we are off to the park for a while with some friends!

Have a FABULOUS FRIDAY everyone! Going to be 80 here tomorrow so I needed the shorts.

Happysmyly: "DH is a teacher and is really hoping to get a job elsewhere--we got a call yesterday and he has an interview on Tuesday in a city (a real city!!!!)"

A real city! That cracks me up!
Thanks for all the thanks-- it was fun and kept me on track.:grouphug:

I had the echocardiogram this morning. It was really interesting. She said she saw nothing to be worried about, but the cardiologist would read it and give me a call.

Thanks for sharing your good news! That has to be a huge relief :cloud9:

QOTD: I don't really plan anything for Saturday, but we always have homemade pizza on Sunday, my mom made it and once dh tried it he declared it our tradition as well. I calculated all the calories and fat in each piece and know that I will eat 5 squares and work that into my Sunday eating...so basically grass that day!:rotfl: Not really, but I don't add anything extra on Sunday.

Right now...wah! I don't want to work out! My allergies are killing me, this new question I'm scoring for Math is hard (yes I'm having to think) and I didn't sleep well last night so shouldn't I just sleep???? I'm fighting with myself. Oh plus I need to get a walk in for the dogs and my legs are rivaling their fur right now and it's in the 70's out...:scared1: (too much info??? he he) I'm going to download the Dis podcast and if someone tells me to get my rear out the door when I'm done I'll go (...hoping no one reads this post....) How's that for passing the responsibility?:rolleyes1

Your dress is gorgeous! As are you :goodvibes

So glad to hear that your son had a good day at his job. And what a good mom you are making his favorite potatoes. ;)

Jen pixie dust coming to you for an interview! pixiedust:

I ended up 1.6 pounds down for the week! I'm happy. :banana:And this was tough week for me emotionally - hoping for an even better weigh in next Friday!

Woooo Hooo, Jen!! I am so happy for you!!!

WOOHOO!!!!:cool1::banana::rotfl::cloud9:

New low for me today!!!!! 153.4 down 3 for the week!!!!!

Definitely buying new clothes this morning!!!!

QOTD: I'm going to celebrate today by buying myself lunch out and getting new clothes! I will also have my favorite drink tonight! But tomorrow, it's back to tons of water and lots of miles!!!!!

Time to change my clippie again!!!!!

Your clippie looks great on you! Congrats!

Happy to hear it turned out to be minor!:goodvibes

Very pretty. Isn't it funny how we tend to stick to colors and fabrics as favorites :confused3 I had a prom dress that was that color too. I made it myself.

Ugh. I'm having one of those days. I have a terrible sinus headache and it won't go away. Grrrr.

I am only down .4 for the week which I find totally frustrating. I was having a great week, down over 2 pounds, and then this morning, I stepped on the scale and it all my hard work from the week was gone... like a flash... all of it but a measly .4 pounds. I could cry... wait, I did cry. I cried and yelled at my hubby and sulked in the corner and pouted and swore that I was done with this dieting and working out stuff and I was done with it all and I didn't care. That's when I suddenly felt it.... a cramp... darn TOM. Sure enough, the Reds came to town to play ball 3 days early. Mentally, I wasn't quite prepared for them to take the playing field.

Ahhhhhhhh.... it makes me so mad. I ran 3.1 miles 3 days this week AND took that super duper hard Spin class and I have nothing to show for it.

I must go cry now. Thanks for listening.

Quotd : What is/was your favorite piece of clothing? It could be anything from a prom dress to a ragged old tshirt.

I have two favorite pieces of clothing....

A BIG HUGE Blackhawks sweatshirt that I borrowed from my hubby when we were dating and then I never gave it back. I love that sweatshirt because I love my Blackhawks. :)

An old pair of Old Navy shorts. They have holes in the pockets and they are all frayed but they are the most comfortable shorts I have ever owned. They are a size 20 and fall down to the ground when I put them on but I will never get rid of them because they are so comfy. I am going to make them smaller in the waist and wear them when I mow the lawn this summer.

Friday QOTD: How do you plan for a successful weekend?

Sadly, my weekends and my weekdays are not too different. I'm a stay at home mom and my husband works from home so weekends feel like weekdays to me.

However, this weekend we're taking the kids to a hotel to go swimming. My step-daughter's birthday is next week and this is our weekend with her so we asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday. She said she wanted to go to a hotel to swim and to go out to dinner "someplace fancy". So I made hotel and dinner reservations for tomorrow night. This morning my step-daughter called and said she decided she didn't want to come this weekend and can we do her birthday weekend another time. Well, kiddo... I already paid for the hotel and it's non-refundable so we're going swimming anyway! :) I'm looking forward to using the fitness center.

So, to have a successful weekend, I will look at the menu for the restaurant we're going to and pick something healthful.

Go Jen, GO!!!

PS... the podcast made me cry this week. You might want to listen to something else.

Both DH and I still have emotional scars from the whole presidential fitness medal memories of grade school. :sad2:

When I think of planning things out in detail, I think of a pjlla plan! I try to be sure that I have plenty of good food in the house to eat before the week-end shopping -- hate that shopping when hungry thing. Also, it is easier since we restocked the freezer so all I have to worry about is produce and sides for whatever we thaw out. Sundays I try to do something in the crockpot so dinner is a snap.

Lisa - I had emotional scars from the Presidential Fitness deal too. That is why I had to run with some of my kids...I wanted to inspire them, encourage them and help them meet their goal if I could.

I am going to try to do what you do and go shopping tonight so that I am prepared for a good weekend!

My weigh in this morning was OK - was down 2 lbs--was hoping for more--but life is a bit of a mess right now so I'm gonna take that 2 lbs and hope that I can add to it this week.

DH is a teacher and is really hoping to get a job elsewhere--we got a call yesterday and he has an interview on Tuesday in a city (a real city!!!!) .
:) Liz

Liz - 2 pounds is great! Way to go! :thumbsup2 Good luck to your DH...the job market here is a total mess and I am going to hope that I get a job for next year. Can't wait to hear how his interview goes!

This is great! I am so excited for you and it is inspiring me to think about doing some of my own shopping. Today I "shopped" in my DD's closet! :rotfl:

Well, Jen, for me the key is in the question -- I have to actually plan! :rotfl: If I leave it up to whatever happens, it's not pretty! If I have a plan, even if I deviate somewhat, I will mostly stick with it. This weekend I'm planning on surviving my FIL and his wife, and then collapsing -- but that probably wasn't the type of plan you meant! ;) Honestly, I've had a not so great last half of the week. I haven't felt well and haven't managed to do more than squats for 3 days. I'm not even sure I'm going to do my 8M tomorrow, since my house needs help inside and out before they arrive. My dh (who informed me yesterday they would be coming down for lunch Sunday), also informed me this morning he plans to work outside all day Saturday, and then he'll devote the morning to inside on Sunday. I have been through this before -- it means absolutely nothing I want to get done which I need his help with will happen Sunday, as he will realize he has to go to the grocery store, go get the paper, go put gas in the car -- you name it, there will be some reason he can't do the things I ask. Ok, so aside from all this -- workouts are doubtful, so that means I have to focus on food -- which will definitely be takeout as we scramble around getting ready for our company. I wish I could lie to you and tell you I'm just going to eat salads and fruit. My dh's family is a major trigger for me (it makes me crazy because they treat ds like a lower form of life than his cousins, and generally make zero effort on his part). But since they did agree to show up Sunday (these are the same people who cancelled the night before for Easter, so you never know), I am going to make my home and myself as welcoming as possible. DS is 12 now, maybe they were waiting for him to get older to find him interesting.... I wish I was one of those people who can't eat when they're stressed. But I'm not. Honestly, I'm going to just get through this weekend and start fresh on Monday. I'm going to do the best I can, but that might not be very good.

Maria :upsidedow

Maria - You are right...you have to plan. Here is wishing you a bit of peace in your weekend. I am also a stress sort of eater so I totally understand where you are coming from. Sometimes the best thing you can do is just give yourself permission to do the best you can...just like you did. Hopefully you will be feeling better and will get through this all with ease! :thumbsup2

Good morning! Down 1lb. I'm happy considering this week was a little stressful. I ran with dh last night and did the elliptical and group strength this morning. Great job on being down a pound with such a stressful week! I am so happy to hear that everything looked good today!

The pizza sounds great! It is nice to have it all figured out with your calories and fat for each piece...helps you plan it all out and know what you have left to work with.

Hope everyone is doing well today...I will check in again later!
Jen

I so feel your pain. This month the Reds (found this to be too funny, cause I am a huge Cincy Reds fan!:lmao:) came twice this month to my house. Twenty days apart. It was not fun, especially with everything else going on. BUT all those workouts are not in vain. I bet early next week you have a BIG dropoff. So eat the best you can this weekend and keep up the exercising! You can do it!

Jen--hope you got your walk/workout in!

Nicole--you are so close. I know you'll be in one-derland soon!:goodvibes

Thanks everyone! I just finished my lunch. It was a chicken and eggplant calzone with pesto and fresh mozzarella! Really good but soooo bad! But I earned it and I'll be back on track tomorrow!

Off to this neat park in town called Castle in the Trees. Girls have been begging to go there again! Then I have to get milk for my special drink and chocolate chips to make more cookies!

Swordfish and veggies and maybe some pasta salad for supper! I'll have my green tea later as well!

75 here and a bit breezy! But beautiful!

Do you have allergies? Mine are horrible right now, darn trees! Have fun at the hotel!!!!

And your exercise is NOT in vain - look at how far you've come and how your health has improved!! Next week will be a big loss! Did you decide what to do about the gym membership?

Go Jen, GO!!!

PS... the podcast made me cry this week. You might want to listen to something else.

I went. ;) After my pity-post I looked out at the darkening clouds and new I had to get those dogs out. :) I listened to the get-to-know-the-dis podcast and am only 1/2 way through but it's a good one. I especially like the "don't feel like an outsider" part b/c I totally feel like on the Dis Unplugged board. Not here though. :goodvibes

Ugh twice in 20 days? Sadly I'm not too far behind you on that one... And thank you I did get my workout in.. Overcoming inertia is the hardest part - once I start that first step it 's pretty easy to finish. Today was a walk and then my sculpt dvd. :thumbsup2

This weekend I'm planning on surviving my FIL and his wife, and then collapsing -- but that probably wasn't the type of plan you meant! ;)

Maria, here is a  and double dose of pixiedust to help you through your week-end. pixiedust: pixiedust:

I had the echocardiogram this morning. It was really interesting. She said she saw nothing to be worried about, but the cardiologist would read it and give me a call.

Glad to hear your good news! :flower3:

jennz and maiziezoe, hope those allergies get better soon. It's been so bad here that I have had to resort to the capisin nose spray -- you have to pretty desperate to spray chile powder spray up your nose but it does help. :rotfl:

, Nicole, you'll be in ONE-derland in no time! :thumbsup2

Very pretty. Isn't it funny how we tend to stick to colors and fabrics as favorites :confused3 I had a prom dress that was that color too. I made it myself.

I always admire people who are able to do that! :worship:

Lisa - I had emotional scars from the Presidential Fitness deal too. That is why I had to run with some of my kids...I wanted to inspire them, encourage them and help them meet their goal if I could.

I wish I would have had a teacher like you to do that for me! :flower3:

This was my day to volunteer at DS' elementary school. They had a fire drill while I was there. There was a substitute in one of the 4th grade classes. When the fire alarm went off the kids left the room and lined up where they were supposed to outside but she just stayed at her desk! :scared1: Umm, even if you don't know what is going on, don't you think that you should follow your students if all the kids leave your classroom?!? Especially when sirens are blaring and strobe lights are flashing? :confused3 The janitor, who has to be sure everyone is out, chased her out. Thank goodness it was only a drill. The principal said its needs to addressed at the district level, too, because you just can't be too careful with our kids!

Have a great day everyone!

I ended up 1.6 pounds down for the week! I'm happy. :banana:And this was tough week for me emotionally - hoping for an even better weigh in next Friday!

YAY! I've decided a loss is a loss, no matter how small! ;)

DH is a teacher and is really hoping to get a job elsewhere--we got a call yesterday and he has an interview on Tuesday in a city (a real city!!!!) about 3 hours from here. Unfortunately Tuesday is the day I have to drive all day to get to my moms so I can help her move to her new place--which will be only 5 hrs from here (instead of 9 1/2) and if DH gets the job--only 3 hrs from there... so this week will be a bit of ickiness where food and stress and driving are concerned... Will make sure I get in my water and fruits/veggies and do my best to get the COW exercises in :) and hopefully this week won't be a big gain...
:) Liz

Sounds like a recipe for craziness to me!!!!! Get your plan, and buy some travel friendly snacks, maybe a few minimeals instead of 3 big ones. That does the trick for me on road trips! Good luck to DH!

. This weekend I'm planning on surviving my FIL and his wife, and then collapsing -- but that probably wasn't the type of plan you meant! ;) Maria :upsidedow
Hang in there. Sounds like a weekend to count successful if you survive! Try not to let it stress you too much!

Good morning! Down 1lb. The run was hard--it was warm and the sun was really bright! I'm sure it will get easier as I get used to the heat. I have been on the treadmill all winter, so being outside is different. I had the echocardiogram this morning. It was really interesting. Glad it sounds like the echo went okay. I started running with snow on the ground, and it killed my lungs. Then we had a "heat wave", and I think running when it was 80 was harder. Early morning runs for me from now on!

Down 2lbs this week (to 204lbs) and its killing me!! I just want to be in the 100s again already!! Not feeling well today at all, I think I really need this cheat day...
You'll be in one-derland very soon! Hang in there, and don't give up on yourself!

:lmao::lmao::lmao: I so know what you mean on all accounts! I wanted to get into the podcast too, I've heard some listen to it while they run. I think I did get it, but haven't listened to one since I was on the way to WDW last July. :)

I am only down .4 for the week which I find totally frustrating. I was having a great week, down over 2 pounds, and then this morning, I stepped on the scale and it all my hard work from the week was gone... like a flash... all of it but a measly .4 pounds. :lmao: at the last part, for the first part.(well, a giggle on the reds) ;) I really hate what TOM does to me, and it puts me in a terrible mental state to handle it, too.

gh twice in 20 days? Sadly I'm not too far behind you on that one... And thank you I did get my workout in.. Overcoming inertia is the hardest part - once I start that first step it 's pretty easy to finish. Today was a walk and then my sculpt dvd. :thumbsup2

I think I am going to attempt running for the first time in a week and a half in the morning, around 6:15. I'll have to remember that as I get my courage up. My legs are achy, I think they are telling me to run!

:scared1::mad: Someone needs to beat her over the head with a common sense stick!!!!!! My Kindergarteners would have dragged her out! They pretty bossy like that. ;) Seriously. I can't get over this one.

Friday's QOTD: I have to take each weekend as it comes. DH has had to work on Saturdays a lot lately, so the days are pretty much the same, with maybe pizza or something on the grill. I just try not to eat tooo much of whatever the "treat" might be. Sunday's are "Sunday dinner at Momma's" and she cooks A LOT for us. (Daddy always called lunch dinner, and dinner supper) It's been a family tradition that started with my Daddy's mom when he was a young boy, he wanted it continued, and we always will for him. My brother and SIL are always there, we just hang out at her house all day being lazy or playing outside. We usually don't eat until 1:30 or 2, so no "dinner" that night, and it usually evens out. Again, I try to portion, and drink lots and lots of water. I think it came from having a farm to take care of, and Sunday was there day of rest to eat a big lunch all together and then relax. Yep, I'm a southern girl!

Good evening everybody:thumbsup2

Another week is gone for me. Weighing in tomorrow morning as Aunt Flo just finished up a few days ago. Though I probably ruined the weigh-in by trying some fried oreos tonight. I'll make up for it thought. They were really good:thumbsup2

I am trying to plan out my next steps in my exercise program. I'm doing really well staying on track with it. Today was my day off though it should have been yesterday. Yesterday I did Upper Body on my ball and then a Power Fit routine and about 5 minutes into the Power fit(which came after the ball) I realized I should have just let it go, but by then I was into it and didn't want to stop so I pushed through to the cooldown. The ball is a 10 minute routine and the Powerfit is 20 minutes. Usually the warmup to Powerfit is enough for me to transition from 1 workout to the next. Not yesterday. So today is an off day exercise wise, but I really wanted to work out. I did get in 4 days in a row and for the first time tried doubling up Power fits because I didn't feel like doing the ball work. I think that cost me some.

Anyhow, I know I need something more or different in my routine. I am trying to decide if what I need is a yoga or stretching day added in:confused: I have been stiff in the knee all week and it seems I just can't get rid of it.

So who here does Yoga? Or a stretch routine? I'm thinking maybe something beginner Yoga but transitions well. I am oddly flexible for my size. And my hips are so loose that its unbelievable. The rest of me has been felling stiff though. I'm looking to stay with the DVD route as I can dress comfortably and do as horrible as i might without any embarrassment. Also classes are very expensive, where as DVDs are cheap:woohoo:

TIA everybody

Friday's QOTD: I actually don't plan for the weekends at all. I work every other weekend so I just follow my weekday work routine meal wise with the cereal and my usual lunch with the water bottle. But I tend not to work out on those days. On my weekend's off, Its off all the way around except for working out. I try and get some exercise in on Sat. and Sun depending on how busy we are and what time the Race starts. We're NASCAR addicts here. :thumbsup2

:grouphug: I feel so bad for you and at the same time just have to almost laugh because this is exactly how crazed I get when my hormones go all out of control. I swear there are days where all you can do is cry.

I am so happy that you ran 3.1 miles 3 days this week - that is totally something! Here is what you have to show for it...9.3 miles of logged running time...YOU ARE STRONG! :yay: Think of how healthy you are becoming and how you are able to do things like this.

:confused3 Seriously, I teach 4th grade and my kids would have yelled at that teacher and then left the building. Craziness!

YAY! I've decided a loss is a loss, no matter how small! ;)

I think I am going to attempt running for the first time in a week and a half in the morning, around 6:15. I'll have to remember that as I get my courage up. My legs are achy, I think they are telling me to run!

I love that...a loss is a loss, no matter how small...we all need to remember that because it is so true!

Good luck with your run tomorrow, can't wait to hear how it went. :thumbsup2

I still think I would love to try yoga but I haven't. I do have a great pilates DVD that has some really good stretches and a lot of core work that I do. I like the DVD because the one I have shows modifications for all the exercises and when I first started, I was not strong enough to do them the regular way. Using the modifications, I was able to get better and now can do most of the work out the way it should be done.

Warning: This gets long and maybe a bit "preachy" but I still am going to post it! :rotfl:

It was a pretty good day for me. I was able to say good-bye to pound 167 like I wanted to....now I do not want to see that weight again! :rotfl: I lost 2.5 pounds this week and know that it helped to be really focused again this week. I was able to bike to work 3 days and got my all my running in as well. I just shared these statistics on another thread but I thought I would share them here too:

Monthly Summary -
Running: 48 miles
Biking: 34 miles
Walking: 2 miles
Total = 84 miles for the month of April

It has been 4 months since I started this journey with you all. The first day I stepped on the scale I cried and was totally ashamed. I started at 198 pounds and I have gone up and down over and over and I have wondered if I should just give up at least once a week. I now weigh 163.5 pounds, that is a total loss of 34.5 pounds. I started in size 14 jeans that were way to tight for me and today I wore my DD's American Eagle skinny jeans in a size 8. The first day I exercised I cried and could not even jog for 60 seconds. I now can run 6 miles straight and am training for a 1/2 marathon in June. It is still a struggle every day not to give up or give in or skip a work out and I don't know when it will get easier for me. I just know that I have to keep going even when it is hard.

No matter where you are at, please know that EVERYONE here inspires me every day to keep going. I learn from you, I feel supported by you, I laugh with you, I feel bad when you struggle and I know that I would never have reached this point without this thread.

THANKS EVERYONE!

jenanderson, you are a workout goddess. :worship::worship::worship:

I started out well with exercise, but we live in a very small house, and during a few busy weeks when I went off schedule, my poor treadmill has once again become a storage base for boxes of junk. I don't mind exercising so much, but I HATE cleaning and having to find another place to stash stuff.

Busy day for me and the kids start spring soccer tomorrow morning, so no more sleeping in on Saturdays for us, but that's ok, there's still Sundays :goodvibes

Did my weigh in this morning and got a 1.4lbs loss! Slowly chipping away at my March vacation gain and my post-vacation gain, but I can do it. I've managed to stay mostly good and get losses 3 weeks in a row, so now its time to go for week 4 ::yes::

Thanks for coaching last week 50sjayne!:thumbsup2
Thanks for tackling coaching again this week JenA:cool1:

Friday QOTD: How do you plan for a successful weekend?

I usually plan to use up some or most of my flex points on the weekends, and will usually get longer exercise sessions in. I find I do best when I make sure to check in here, and to enter meals as they are eaten, so there's no surprises at the end of the day.

When I think of planning things out in detail, I think of a pjlla plan!

:thumbsup2 I think the same thing :goodvibes

Good morning fellow BLs :) Hope your weigh in was not a surprise this morning :) And may you be blessed to have a great and healthy week this coming week--today is the start of a new day, a new week--fresh with no mistakes in it (yet). :thumbsup2
:) Liz

I love your statement. It fits me perfectly with the idea of "no mistakes (yet)" :lmao:
Good luck to your DH!

Sounds fantastic!:thumbsup2

Well, Jen, for me the key is in the question -- I have to actually plan! :rotfl: If I leave it up to whatever happens, it's not pretty! If I have a plan, even if I deviate somewhat, I will mostly stick with it. This weekend I'm planning on surviving my FIL and his wife, and then collapsing -- but that probably wasn't the type of plan you meant! ;)

:grouphug: hope your weekend goes okay :goodvibes

Down 2lbs this week (to 204lbs) and its killing me!! I just want to be in the 100s again already!! Not feeling well today at all, I think I really need this cheat day...

feel better soon!:flower3::grouphug:

The dreses are beautiful and you look marvelous dahling...BTW I just bought a huge thing of crushed garlic at Costco-- great flavor option-- healthier than salt or butter :-) (makes healthy stuff tasted good)

I've never bought crushed garlic, but I should try it. So far I've always used dried or fresh.

Ugh. I'm having one of those days. I have a terrible sinus headache and it won't go away. Grrrr.

:lmao: You crack me up with the "reds". Hope your feeling better mentally and have a great time swimming!:goodvibes

Thanks for sharing that! I love reading about others success!:goodvibes

TIA everybody

I started yoga with a couple of beginers tapes. In Nov I started taking a class near my house on Thursday night. It has helped me.

Yoga kind of leads to yesterday's QOTD. Since I started yoga I think more about what I want to eat and I think I make better choices for the most part. Weekends are relax time for us so I may not plan the entire day but Sunday is usually planned out since that is the day I grocery shop.

I recently saw an article on the news about a man who lost over 200 pounds because he started taking a yoga class. They were talking that yoga leads to a more awareness of what you are eating so that you make better choices. This what I have been expreiences for the last couple of months. I may not be losing weight very quickly but I am at a lower weight than when I started in Jan.

woofiedoodles good luck with your filaw I have to deal with family today. I have a first communion/confirmation party for my neice and nephew. we need to drive almost 2 hours to get there for a party that starts at 3. Dh and I both agree that if "real food" is not served by 5 we are out of there. I do not want to be there eating at 7.

Have a great day everyone
